The project is way too far from being a dead one, we are two people now and many things have already been improved (graphics, gameplay and story).However, we are saving all these details for one big update that will push the project to a new level.

I agree, target lock would be good addition for the game! However you i'll need to run away sometimes that's why it was manually activated in severance.

Severance: Blade of Darkness is one of my all-time favorites,The Knight and The Barbarian were my favorites too, and the game is a big inspiration for me, I'm still working on the evade animations and mechanics, I'll be showing them as soon as they are ready.
Glad you like it, many people are telling me that I made the Two-handed swords faster than it should be and I keep telling them that weapon speed in Primaeval isn't only about slash speed it's more about the interval between two attacks and how fast you can perform the next attack after the last one.

Thank you, I grew up playing that masterpiece! and it's a big inspiration for me, there are already 4 directional attacks in primaeval, and you are not' the first person who's suggested the target lock feature so I'll implement it next update :)
I'm not sure really, It needs a lot of work and effort to run a crowd funding campaign, I feel a bit confused about that!

I really like your high quality deep comment, and I must say that from a logical perspective you are 100% right, I'll try my best to make a proper dodging animation just like the one you described. However, I wont scrap the rolling ones but instead I'll add a high stamina cost for performing it, this may takes time though!
