Thanks. Somewhat irritated you guys gave in to the casual crowd. The game's systems were perfect as it is and potions are easy to make. Loving the game thus far though. Would be cool if you guys added recruitable mercenaries to help you in fights. Having a dog companion and this as an option would greatly add to the game.

I did read that but it's too generic. Sieges work fine for me in general. It's only select settlements. I was inquiring about the discrepancies between me and my friend, who was able to play siege battles on those maps.

Being a non-steam-user I have no choice but to use the .bat so that isn't a concern either.

Hmmm, would have been nice back when I still had my product key. I'll eventually get it in steam when it goes on sale. And alright, was just making sure I wasn't an isolated incident. I mention disc because I don't know how many people have gold and who all patches to 1.5(which is what steam does). Kingdoms by itself only patches to 1.4. I assume it works better on steam because the files are different and the mod was made using those files.

Yeah, that did it. Was on read-only. Nice catch. Thought I took care of that previously.

Loving this game. The only issue I'm having is the chaos factions crashing for sieges in certain settlements like infernous. I guess it's linked to the settlements themselves as I can attack other settlements like the Humans.

However, I introduced my friend to this game and he hasn't had that problem. He's running it via steam. I am via disc(v1.5(same as steam me thinks)). Is that the issue?

Would really like to play chaos and play siege battles without auto resolving. I installed according to the youtube video you provide and even looked at the instructions on that on picture. Although when I try to do the 4gb patch it only lets me do it for kingdoms exe. When I try the medieval 2 exe it says it can't open but I've tested the game with msi afterburner and it is using around 4gbs so I don't think that is the issue.

Otherwise, best mod I've played for Medieval 2. Outshines even Third Age and Stainless Steel.

Edit: Also a note, I've played the Vampires, Dark Elves and Orcs with no problems. I believe it has something to do with the settlement and me using a disc.

The sieges now are crashing for me since I used this patch oddly enough.

Edit: Only crashes me for Chaos factions thus far. I'm not using Steam if that helps.

For the 4gb patch, it says it can't open the executable for the medieval 2 exe but it works for kingdoms. Is this a potential issue even though the game runs fine for me?
