I feel your pain. I recently played a game from here on indiedb.com ("Monsters") and uploaded the footage to YouTube. The background music was caught by Content ID. It's so frustrating.

Anyway, the point I want to get to is that an idea I had come up with but haven't actually done yet is to use Audacity or something to record just my voice (so just mic audio, not game audio) while I recorded gameplay with commentary. That way, if the game audio itself is picked up by Content ID, I can remove that audio and just overlay my voice track over it in its place... either partially or entirely.

Just an idea...
