yeah, on the table it gives a 4+ invuln save. I'm not sure why it didn't really do anything in DoW though.

Salamanders have a unique battle style that differentiates them from the chapters who only use the codex astartes. Ultramarines are by definition vanilla. Imagine that the standard ones in game are blue, and you won't notice a difference.
You're also being very childish about this. My chapter didn't even get into the finals, but you don't see me acting up over it.

I've got a couple comments although they're minuscule at worst
I'd watch how short you make the bayonet lug (that might be more of a perspective problem though), and I'm not a fan of how you did the rear sight since there should be a bit of space under it.
those may just be me since I couldn't find a good source image for a ZF...
it looks like tau can't handle CC in this medium either...
