Its on hiatus for a bit. I'm a bit busy atm with school, so it'll be difficult to work on this mod at the same time.

Animator for the mod, no, it aint dead. Half of the team is just taking a break (including me). We've just been pretty busy with other stuff and work on the mod has been kinda sluggish for the past couple of months. Don't worry tho, we are making huge progress with the mod, including some new mechanics and some more, older mechanics we've got working ;)

First, i'd like to apologies for replying way to late. I sometimes forget to check moddb

I'd love for that to be a simple workaround, making my mod just an attachment to the original doom wads, but i'm way to inexperienced to know how to do it that way.

No, i won't be implementing any dynamic lighting or PBR shader support. This is just vanilla doom with major lighting adjustments using the already existing tools. Sorry to disappoint :(

Unfortunately, there is none as of now since it's extremely early in development. If you can, you can follow this page for any updates in the future.

I can't, this is my first mod i've ever made so i don't have any idea on how to do that properly due to me being pretty terrible at it. I'd really like to know because that'd make the process ten times easier.

But the problem still kinda stands, if i were to change the lighting for all 4 episodes and give that wad away for free which also includes the episodes, then that would be breaking the law since doom is still being sold by online DRM services.

Unless the game's company closed or the game itself stops being sold anywhere, i cannot legally modify those other episodes since all i'm changing is lighting.

I'd essentially be giving away the full version of doom for free with some added light enhancements, and that's not going to sit with ID softwares/bethesdas copyright team

What other people are doing are changing the level design and replacing assets with their own, i'm only doing slight adjustments to dooms lighting utilising their built in lighting system.

The only minor problem with using something like the gzdoom builder is that it might break existing compatibility with the software renderer. And since i kinda want to use as much of the original engine as possible i'm kinda left with limited options.

To solve the collosionless scientists, have you tried surrounding them with some kind of nodraw?
