I had figured you just liked the look of the soft shading. Like whydo the humans need setting apart? But I guess you just wanted to give me some fancy explanation right. :P Anyway for me I thought the celshading was fine like before.

I personally think there's enough commercial developers (for example latest couple of dbz games) who are using soft shading because they think it adds "next gen" detail. While I don't agree at all it adds detail. It actually takes away from the cartoony feel the cartoon characters should have. Same thing for pokemon characters.

I like the new player model, but the textures. His hair looks like corn rows. Some changes are needed there. And why did you decide to go with softshading? That kinda clashes with the celshading of the pokemon.

I don't know how to respond to that.

I like how you add a little extra oomph by stretching and squashing the character. Looks proper pro

You pretty much nailed the face, but I think the head might be a little too big relative to the body. Also if you make any more in the future. Just type the pokemon + settei into google and you'll find these great refs.

Well I just don't see any other way out of it. They're bound to notice eventually. The only option I see is they choose to "openly ignore" you. I definitely don't see them backing your project financially like some naives are suggesting, they would just "steal" your concept if they had an interest. But it all comes down to legal issues. I think they have an obligation to protect their copyright. The only hope you can foster is Pokemon MMO and wonder why those guys aren't shut down yet.

Only the devs should be able to play these legendaries when they descend from their heavenly planes down to a public server. They'd just play this pokemon solo without a trainer. And then maybe if you could beat him, you'd be able to catch them. Either that or just make their occurence really rare.

Together with Nidoran, Genghis Khan, Clefairy and Gengar they are the proto-pokemon. They all share similarities in their design btw.

Perhaps the petals could be a little more thicker in a vertical sense. Like each petal kinda looks like a mushroom top.

His face looks a little squashed in the sense that his other eye should be visible in this 3/4 perspective. His head is actually quite wide due to his cheekbones. Also those "ears" should be in a more frontal plane rather than the sagittal plane they seem to be in now.

I did notice some derp face on the blue trainer, the pupils need to be moved towards the center. I guess I should take the blame for that one, by not abounding you with crits on your forums. ;P But I'll still keep doing it here! There are enough fanboys already as it is..
