I am not speaking for MXTHE here. Nor am I divulging any "insider" information with this response. This is just my opinion. Having spent three years on the game...I believe I am able to speak on the topic. (Jeremy if you read this feel free to chime in)
1) It let's us in on a deeper side of Matthew's personality and psychology. Yes, he has had some side dialogue, here or there, to let us know a bit about how he thinks, but this scene really gives us a much clearer look at the inner workings of this man.
2) Matthew is a spy and he has been caught. Nothing is worse for a spy than to be sorted like this. So a lot of this scene is his reeling and deflection from the topic of who he is, why he is, and why he should be responsible. His behavior tells us a lot about his character as well. i.e. slightly defensive, a little paranoid, and certainly a calculating individual.
3) Whether or not there is any "real life" truth, in our universe, to what Matthew is saying is not for me to say. Although, in the "Underhell Universe" I do think that there is a strong possibility that with all of the foul play and strange goings on with the authority that there could be a real element of truth to what Matthew is saying.
4) This is a HUGE story. With many Chapters. The interweaving of many intricate ideas and impressions are sure to happen over the course of the entire series. I know MXTHE, and he will not disappoint when bringing everything together. The man does not like loose ends. Although there is a lot of action and a very satisfying inner story with Chapter 1, it is only the beginning. Matthew's scene is another example of the type of exposition needed for a series and story the size of Underhell.
Ultimately, we just have to trust MXTHE's vision. Every bit of dialogue, albeit lengthy and intensive, has an important meaning, in the Underhell Universe, as it carries a potential connection that will be satisfied at a later time.
No need to pass out the haterade bro :P We are all friends here. If somebody wants to ask for help from the peeps in the moddb underhell community, I think he has a right to ask here :D I don't think we would be upset if he asked the question in a forum and in a way this thread is like a dynamic general forum for Underhell. (note: this does not mean I think it is cool to put major spoilers here)

Hi Emiko95,
Thank you for the comment :) Let me first say that I am an huge fan of "Ocarina of Time" and would gladly do a tribute to the OST anytime. That being said, I am doing these re-orchestration specifically for "The Hero of Time."
You can expect many more great re-orchestrations in the future. Thanks for following the game!
