I'm a guy who likes programming, computer games, science and watching YouTube videos. I also have a small YouTube channel with a few interesting videos. I'm a big fan of Amnesia - The Dark Descent and I love making custom stories.

I don't think I completely understand what you meant, but you obviously need to install the patch to the correct directory. Mybe you should follow some tutorial on Youtube to do it correctly...

Seems like you have an older version of Amnesia. You need to be on patch 1.3 or higher.

You need to have Amnesia 1.3, which is currently the newest version of the game.

Just take a look at the walkthrough, I don't know how else to help you. I doubt that there is a bug with the door, it's so straightforward that there really isn't anything that could go wrong...

You mean at the very beginning? It tells you to pick up the lantern as well, if you didn't do that.

Alright then :) Just remember to load the autosave before test 3 and don't reload the game on that map, and it should be all fine, you don't need to play it from the beginning.

I know what bug you're talking about and unfortunately there is no way (as far as I know) to fix it, as it is actually a bug in the game itself (it happens in the main game as well). The problem is with saving MoveObject objects, so after reloading the save file, the center of rotation of that object gets messed up and it just does something stupid.
I'm sorry it discouraged you from finishing the custom story. You can still load the last save and finish it without bothering with the easter eggs though...

Thanks! :) You're right, I thought it was about time to wrap the custom story up at that point, and I'm aware, that it didn't really feel right, but I asked myself, when else should I end it, if not there and nothing else came to mind, so yeah... :/ And fun fact about the picture you linked - the 3 floors used to be all in one big map, but after I finished the map, it was lagging too much, so I had to separate the maps, but I left that door there to make it feel, as if it was still all connected.

Hi, thanks for the review on my custom story. I have to agree with your criticism, but there is one thing that wasn't really my fault. In the dark tunnels, there is a pretty well illuminated map of the entire section right at the entrance and it isn't hard to memorize. You probably missed it somehow, because everyone I saw made it on the first or at most third try... Well, I'm still glad you over all enjoyed it. :)

It's written on one of the notes. If you're still having problems, watch the walkthrough video.

If the easter eggs are too hard to collect, I'd say don't bother with them if it's not enjoyable. :D And no, I haven't heard of that game, I'll check it out...
