C3Dit [1.6.1]:
-Use to observe model and its animations. You can assign sounds to animations with this as well.
Gimp:
-Use to create menu pics
Microsoft Paint:
-Use to modify skins and/or convert to bmp files
Game3dee.com
-Use to convert menu pics to 16-bit tga files & implement mortal zones
AltEditor2:
-Find coordinates for maps & other map things
I haven't really gone into creating my own models or animations because I simply do not have the time or skill to do it. You can find videos that go into detail about them though.
I am still in the process of learning map stuff.
These were just a few simple things that I can think of at the moment. If you need any more help let me know.
First of all, thanks a lot for getting back to me, this is some really good direction.
Second, a few questions:
1. Going to Game3dee.com seems to always lead to a 404 error or a blank page, but Nginx.org is linked. Are they the same?
2. I'm unable to find AltEditor2 anywhere, is there a site or link you can provide me with?
3. Do you know what people use to create custom models from scratch? I would figure Blender but I could not find any videos or forums about it.
Again, thanks, I'm sure I'll have more questions later but this will help a lot.

are you going to port the canon extended mods to the new carnivores modders edition update
Yes, if i can i figure out how to get the ypdate to work.
Hey Ceratopsian, I'd really like to make my own mods for Carnivores 2, but I don't know where to start. Do you have any tips or pointers?
Are you planning on doing a mod using the Modder's Edition Engine or default C2?
Here's a list of things that I think are important to take note of:
Sound effects for weapons & dinosaurs:
-VLC Media Player & Audacity
C3Dit [1.5.1]:
-Use to implement skins & add sound effect slots

Also I plan on using the Modder's Engine.
