The doors on the fence are kind of hard to find, they're in the center of each wall. You can pick them out because the posts are close together where they are. As far as saving, that feature is in the next release towards the end of the month.

Beta will be free for the forseeable future
You need 3 to follow you in order to put up fences around areas. As long as you have a minimum of 3 you can walk into an area and hold c then select fortify to have them start building walls. All the intricacies of the game are also in the readme file.
Yes I have some plans for that which involve using different model pieces to give the look of more varying zombies and also not to make them just green colored. I also plan to do the same with survivors and also for the normal human enemies. That's all a bit farther in the future though since artwork tends to take me a longer time.
Thanks, that may be an issue with the engine, but there are sensitivity controls in game. I will probably make the buttons work via keyboard at some point.
Indeed there is a mac, linux, and windows version available
Already there, all the guns use iron sights to aim.
It's not dead and it's only me working on it for the moment. But yea I've been away for awhile and I've got quite a few things in the works.
Yes there's a lot more to come.
The updated version has been posted on the official website just re-download and install to correct the problem. The file is also awaiting authorization on the IndieDB page as v0.0.23a.
I am aware of an issue preventing fortifications from being completed. The issue has been fixed and is awaiting upload both here and on the official site. Thank you for your patience.
Either through Steam or Desura. Hopefully Steam cause it offers DRM that doesn't hassle the user.
Thanks I really appreciate the encouragement
That's a good suggestion. I'll probably end up lowering the amount a bit if this one fails.
The issue is due to the models being used for the zombie which are temporary. The new model is going to be put in for this next release. So far I've been able to put in about 80 zombies with the new low poly model before I had any significant fps drop.
I'll see if I can get that into the next version
Thanks, I appreciate your encouragement.
They shouldn't be clipping through the walls anymore, at least not much. But thanks for the support.
I'm not trying to copy DayZ. This is meant to have a sense of purpose, not just a sandbox type make your own story kind of thing.
This is a true statement and I will be correcting this in the next release. Firing the 1911 in-game already does provide a bigger kick though.
I'll see how long I can keep it up, right now I'm a one man show.
I've made the game run a lot smoother in the next version. I'm also adding in some more starting options such as how many zombies can be present at one time, which will make the game run better for slower computers.
I apologize for the error I made uploading the 64-bit version yesterday. I sent in the wrong file, and have resubmitted the correct .zip to IndieDB. In the mean time the 32-bit version is still on here and the 64-bit version can be downloaded from the official website.
It's based on the stars not on the Gregorian calendar we all use now.
