sure! i understand completely, what did bother me was not it being an error, but that i thought the lack of a clear mapped button function was by design. if there is please tell me how to do it. will message you my gamepad info.

Rage Level 10/10.
i havent even been able to try the game, since i effectively cannot set up my gamepad button mapping, and playing it with the keyboard would be just downright awkward. thing is the stupid message saying "that button is already being used for whatever" popping up whenever i try to map a button prohibits me from setting it up in anyway.
just get rid of it altogether! and make it so that whenever you remake that button to another action to clear it from the previos action it was mapped to! ta-da!
also PLEASE FOR THE LOVE GOD add the option to clear the button mapped to a certain action, because i tried with backspace, or delete, and it didnt do the trick.
not only that, but i already had to restart my computer twice because the game would just ignore my inpute, and that hasnt happened since the 90s!

hopefully you can get to that, and i'll be able to try the game.

i'm off to give this game a try. beforehand though, have you tried Vice:Project Doom on the nes? if you havent i've got a feeling you might enjoy it. also, seeing that you're working with MF2, let me suggest Scirra Construct to you, which is similar but i find it to be much better, also, you can include wiiremote support, which for nes-like games is great! between Construct Classic and Construct 2, i presonally prefer classic. btw game looks awesome! you try to get it included in some bundle to make it get some spotlight!

nice game, i'd like to add some constructive criticism if you wouldnt mind.
while i enjoyed playing it, there were two or three main things that really put me off,
first is that i found the camera way too jerky, to the point of giving me an instant headache,
(and i've been a veteran gamer for over 20 years across varied platforms this is no sissy talking XD)
specially since it runs on such a big window right on my face, and i couldnt find any options to reduce the window size/resolution. perhaps an option for window size and camera movement could be aded to solve this?
the other thing i can recall is the jump having a bounce mechanic, which really made it difficult to navigate, and while i thought it was fixed as that, i found it could be switched to not bounce, yet personally i think i'd be best to set the option's default as non-bounce-jump.

there's my 2 cents, i hope you dont mind my intrussion. keep up the good work!
