Wow, BB:S is really looking awesome!
Been going through my map archives, saw it, checked here, thought "what the heck". =p
Step 1: Build Scrin Refineries
Step 2: ???
Step 3: PROFIT!
=p
I can map for BB:S if you all would like. =p
Not sure I fit into the category of "THEY" since I'm not on the IronOak team.... since there isn't any BB:S, I have no BB:S mod to work with...
Yup. Good old Natural-Selection mod.
Brainbread doesn't have a single player exclusive mode that I know of, though, you can play Brainbread as if it did simply by starting your own listen server ( create a game button in the BB in-game main menu, select a map, click the start button and off you go ). All the missions will still work.
Yeah... that was a fun mod to map for. Especially with all the ways that textures lights and the glow effect could be used (along with the movewith arg). And I only got one map finished for RE:CB too... arg...
Thanks! I'm hoping to get this map ready from BrainBread very soon.
I believe that development has ended.
I don't want any drama so this will be quick.
It has come to my attention that it's map download or deal with complaining. If that's the case, I'll run with it and not update here until I have a map for people to play on.
Since I'm doing this for free, I'm not going to argue or try to apologize for the lack of any desired update. If this project doesn't pay the bills, it's level of importance is somewhere between not enough to care about and nill. And guess what, working for free = doesn't pay the bills.
I'm glad no one will care anyway. =p Carry on then!
OK then. I'll cease updating here. And in a few I'll remove all those pesky screen shots.
That was taken before the doors opened on the containers. I believe monsters as big as the monster_tyrantproto will fit into those things. I usually try to leave some open space for dodging those things. That can easily be fixed though.
So... don't press the red "Don't Press" button. =p
HOLY CRAP!! ... . . .. .... .. .. . .. I found the monster_snake ent.
Forget snakes on a plane, how about snakes in flooded area of map!
scumlines. The rest I haven't released yet.
Well, firstly, have you deviated from the default install options/methods for STEAM (changed the drive/directory name/etc.)?
As far as HL source goes, you're talking about the Goldsource engine that Half-Life uses, right? If you're referring to the Source engine that HL2 uses, that might be an issue (RE:CB is HL1 only ATM). Though, I'm still not sure what you mean by "old version". I don't know about now, but in the early days at least, old or "retail" copies of Half-Life converted over to STEAM easily provided you still had your CD-key.
As far as I know, yes. At least, I'm still mapping. Though, I just recently got BETA2 also. =\
One thing though... I wonder if I should reduce the size of the maps I'm making... I usually stop adding to them when the compilers start spitting out errors or I reach an insane chop value in RAD...
I've been the only person posting images for a while. That's why. Trimming images now.
I FINALLY got Beta2!!! I'll probably post more screenshots of this map in my profile gallery or clear out some of the older ones in here. Regardless, all the editor screenshots will be in my profile gallery.
Detail textures still look pretty good, the three original base-HL1 textures don't stand out so much now. =p

I'm just a Half-Life mapper. Despite the age of the old HL engine, I still enjoy trying to push the limits when creating maps for it.
