Another birthday gift from a ModDB member, this time from Kark-Jocke.
ModDB members never cease to amaze me, best community ever!
Play and have fun ;)
Steam has not been very easy for my operating system. However, for Christmas, I'm going to get one of the most advanced Dell Windows 7 PC with over 8 GB of RAM! With that much power, Steam should not be laggy for me anymore, despite it costing over £1080. Also, I have been looking forward to having more friends on Steam. Maybe one day we will meet on it. BTW, congrats again on your gifts. :)
That's strange, i have a pretty weak PC but steam doesn't lag or slow down at all. Hell, a year ago i had an extremely bad PC it was almost 7-8 years old and Steam worked perfectly fine too.
I think it's your OS, did you try and reinstall it ?
Like backup your stuff on an external HD, and then wipe all other HD-s for a completely clean install.
Hmm, well, I have a game called Company of Heroes 2 and it lags on multiplayer a whole lot. My PC is a few years old and it only has 3 GB RAM in all and Company of Heroes 2 recommendation is having over 4 GB RAM. I'll consider trying your advice, but I'll upgrade quite soon anyway with a brand new computer of having more than twice the amount of recommended RAM the game recommends so that I will have a HUGE amount of room to work out with. I like having much space, even in my house. It feels more free to move around. It also allows for me to play games at it's top normal speed, so it should not lag anymore AT ALL. Dawn of War Soulstorm will probably be SUPER fast to load up large mods and maps too. =)
