Hi Gareth,

This was a very informative read. I appreciate your taking the time to give your thoughts on the process. It seems like your situation and ours is fairly similar, with the lack of connections to help make the promotion easy.
I should mention that the game looks quite interesting, I looked it up after reading. I'll be sure to watch for it.
Our graph looks pretty sad compared to yours, however - we started on the first 5 days with 1000+ visitors per day, and about 30 days in, are sitting well below 100/day. This has added up to us only being about halfway to the top 100. It's very depressing. I think maybe we need to do a lot more promotion, but I'm not sure where to start. Would you say twitter is a good place to go? I'd like to get picked up by at least one indie blog.
If you have any general advice, I'd be grateful. Our page is at Steamcommunity.com.

Oh, it's happening! :D We're 100% committed to getting co-op completely awesome before release. Multiplayer is probably the main element that differentiates this game from other games in the same genre. And who doesn't want to fight over food with their friends? I'm looking forward to hearing stories about friends betraying each other over that last bit of food to stave off starvation. It's totally Darwinian.

Thanks gekooktei! I looked at your game and gave it +1! Us indie developers have to support each other. I really like your music btw and gameplay seems nice and fluid. I sometimes get awfully bogged down in 3D logic on this game, and I envy your simplicity.
Co-op should be really fun, I think that's what's going to be our most popular game mode (like yours). You'll be able to discuss with your partner on what evolutionary paths to take - probably one meat eater and one plant food eater, since they don't interfere with each other as much - and support each others' eating habits with your class abilities. Also, eat your friends corpse if they have an unfortunate accident. :D
