What a great mod! From the very first moment, when the license agreement consists of a single clause obliguing you to study history. Great job, guys. It is clear that this was made with persons with a great interest in history, and all the little details reinforce this: the loading screens depicting unit equipment; the period accurate public figures; the traits based on actual philosophers of the era; the constant use of terms in Latin; the bewildering array of units, etc, etc.

As Wolf said, the campaign and the tutorial will not work. But don´t despair! You can still play Single Player, via Skirmish, or Multiplayer against other humans. Just start with easy difficulty to get the hang of the game. Company of Heroes, while still an RTS (and one of the best ever made), has several concepts unique to it. Fortunately for you, you can still play the tutorial in the unmodded version of the game. Concepts like sector resources, supression & pinning, use of abilities, equipment purchases, etc, are handled similarly.
I do hope you enjoy the mod! It is one of the best out there for this wonderful game, even more so if you are into a little more realism and historical accuracy.

Hey thanks a lot for your reply. I didn´t realize there was an answer to my comment, and I had to look it by hand; took me a while (nearly a year, lol). Bottom line is, I downloaded the game and played it with some friends; we had a blast. It looked amazing, and it lived up to every expectation. So, for making an awesome mod, thanks a lot!
Also, it is very nice of you guys to spend time answering comments here. Keep it up!

Depending on your version, the mod might get installed in a folder called "Relaunch", inside your regular CoH folder. Just copy all that content and paste it in ...\THQ\CoH

The best of luck to you guys. After reading the summary, I concluded that if you succeed, you may create something so great it would be looked back upon by people who in turn will say: "Remember CoH: Fortress Europe? Mods aren´t made like that anymore..."

I know you guy have made a ton already, but if you are looking for fresh ideas, you should consider the Flammwagen auf Panzerkampfwagen B-2 (f), the flamethrowing B-1 bis French tank adapted by the Germans.

Indeed, I suffer from the same. For now we have to accept it as it is; devs are probably working on it.

Tiger I has only 100 mm frontal armor, so the 76 mm M1A1 gun is perfectly capable of penetrating and getting a kill shot. Regarding your second issue about units seeking to ram rather to engage, it happens to me quite often (you might also see it with AT armed infantry); I manage to bypass it by ordering halt so the tank immediately stops and fires upon the nearest threat.

They are all awesome; they are also different. And Hearts of Iron (a personal favorite) is officially labeled as Real Time Grand Strategy. It is a whole new level :O

The mod does not support the single player campaign :)
