Love your mod man. Would love to know how you do what you do. I have been working on a game inspired by the old resi gems. I work full time indie atm so i can't put as much time in to it as i used to but I thought you might wanna check it out? Youtube.com maybe we could work part time on it. Or perhaps start something new. Put yours skills to use for something new.
Hello resevilnemesis30, I had a few issues with the V1.8 with the latest patch dated Mar 2018 that I wanted to cover with you so you might be able to fix. Some are just simple fixes, while others make it a pain! So without further delay, here are some of the issues I found.
Episode 1; Sewage Disposal; First time entering:
When I entered this area, I saw Hunk's Teammate down next to the Save Room. Instead of talking with him, I went into the Save Room first (Thinking there might be a boss fight or something and I was low on health), then when I came out after saving, I noticed his teammate was missing. I never got to activate their dialogue to get more information on the story and what happen.
Suggested Fix: Might need to keep teammate from disappearing until you activate him with the Action button. Then he disappears after you leave the area for good.
Episode 2; Sewer B1; After talking with Davies:
I went to the check the big door in the room, noticing it was locked. But when I was checking my inventory, I noticed that your custom music and the Game's original music for the room was playing at the same time. On a different playthrough, I noticed this is consistent, as it happened again after checking the door.
Suggested fix: If the Original Song isn't used anywhere else in the Episode, delete it from the database, so that when checking the door, the original music will not play through.
Episode 2; Sewer B2; Wolf and Eagle Coin insert
I noticed that after inserting the Wolf and Eagle Coins in the slots, the animation goes through as normal, but then the screen gets stuck on the Blue light pre-rendered background, but the game still plays. The only way I could clear it out was to use the map to guide Hunk to the door and then press action button ten times or so to get the right spot to open the door and clear out the animation.
Suggested Fix: Not sure, but that was annoying to say the least as there were still enemies in the room...
Episode 3; Talk with Jones in the Red Section; choice to remove mask or not
At this point, I had watched a walkthrough video to help guide me in this last episode, but I noticed that when I talked to Jones in that back room, I got to the dialogue "...Rescue Sherry and-" then I go straight to the Inventory screen to collect the Master Key, but then when I come back, the scene cuts straight to Hunk with his mask removed. I don't get an option to choose. I have tried to ensure I don't hit the skip button at all, I have reloaded the game files, I have even deleted the game and reloaded. All have lead to the same result. I get skipped to getting the Master Key after that Dialogue, then I am sent straight to masked removed, therefore always completing the game with ending C.
Suggested Fix: Look into the flag or switch that the mask option comes in, and make it an option either at the end of all the dialogue between Jones and Evans, or Make it an option before Hunk leaves the room.
I will email you this copy as well. Hope this helps toward Version 2.0! Love this game and this is a great game! Such a Challenge to play, especially the silent running zombies!!! I hate (and love) those zombies! They make me jump even when I expect them!
