On To 0.1.7!

Regen2100 Blog

Despite some bugs and other issues beyond my control, 0.1.7 has been proceeding on schedule, however, it seems that an entire world clear method is needed to get the things we want into Tier Tactical. The Armor block creates tremendous amounts of lag if we try any method for check if another block intersects it, so we will just make it a condition for every block (which should reduce lag a lot). However, this requires a delete of all old world files as a new method is needed for the blocks to remember if they have armor or not.

In the meantime, 0.1.6 is completely stable, except for a few minor bugs.

0.1.5 Is in development!

Regen2100 Blog

0.1.4 Has been released, along with a hasty bugfix sent out at the same time! I am also proud to announce that 0.1.5 is coming along in development. The next Tier has finally been fully implemented, and the Tier Up Button has begun working again! Some bugs in 0.1.4 that have been fixed in 0.1.5 are as follows.

BUG LOG:
-0.1.3 or older copies experienced what I call the "Negative 2 Million bug", which would cause a players level, exp and money to default to a negative number in the 2 million range. This is because the obfuscation methods implemented in 0.1.4 would subtract a basic single integer level by the obfuscation number (usually 7 digits).

-Perceived lag on the monitor. This is an odd bug, for me at least. I get a usual constant 60 FPS on the screen as reported by the game, however, to my eyes it feels like 45 - 60 at odd moments. I think this might not be a bug.

Tier Tactical 0.1.4 Update coming along!

Regen2100 Blog

Tier Tactical 0.1.4 Is set to release on January 1st!

This update, along with a major overhaul on the zombie intelligence, will introduce a new block type, the Campfire.

The Campfire is capable of recovering player health and setting the player spawn, its only drawback is its a beacon for zombies!

As it was mentioned before, massive changes have been made to the zombies level of artificial intelligence. The changes are as follows:

-Zombies now ignore the player if he is too far away and begin "searching"
-Each zombie performs his own individual search.
-if a zombie has found a player, he beelines for him.
-Alpha zombies have a rare chance of spawning.
-Alpha zombies ignore player stealth and lead normal zombies to you.
-Alpha zombies have 1500 health and are now red colored.
-Fixed Start Horde insults not showing.
-Allowed the player to be able to choose which map they spawn on (via pressing the < and > keys respectively)
-Campfires added
-Handling added for Extractors however refueling doesn't work yet.
-Water disabled temporarily.
-Fixed the flashlight beam being off center whilst a sidearm was equipped.

Some minor technical mishaps have occurred along the way, and multiplayer has been pushed off for a little while longer, however we are working on the problem and are trying to get it to you as soon as we can!

In the meantime, please feel free to download 0.1.3 below!

Have been working on an annoying bug that occurs due to the alpha zombie spawning.

Random groups of zombies tend to "sprint" at you now, reaching the player in a matter of seconds.
I'm actually considering on keeping it, because it livens up the enemies and keeps the player on edge

But as of now, its fixed

It's also kind of funny, here's a video.

Starting a game

Regen2100 Blog

You know, it's been a real voyage to get to this point. I started out with computers in my junior year in highschool and have been hooked since. I had to teach myself how to code and make use of the many tools out there to complete my goal of making games. At this point, can I claim to be a master of code?
No, I don't think of myself that way at all.

There will always be someone better at coding than me, pointing out something running poorly in my games while maybe scoffing, and you know, they probably do know what they're doing and their help is appreciated.

So at this point I'm going to leave it like this.

Hi, I make games, I dislike people who pretend to make games and appreciate those who do make fantastic, and/or functional games.
