The Early Access feature in Steam is coming to my mind. Was that no option when you felt that the game was not finished? As a sort of middle thing between release and delay.

Ever thought of opening an indieDB profile for G String? You might reach a different audience as well there. As it stands, it's still shown to be merely a HL2 mod here.

You continue to amaze.
Any plans on a Linux port? I know it's a niche thing, but more and more games are available on Linux and the community is growing.

Attention! Notice the sarcasm! (a hint for people who do not understand such things. Yes, there are such people. Many.)

I agree to the preference of quality over speed. I have recently read Brave New World and 1984 as part of my studies of the utopian literary tradition and I've seen 2001, which impressed me immensely visually. Only now I realize where G String is coming from, being what I would call dystopic science fiction horror. I appreciate the problematization of environmental issues in the game, a topic dear to my heart. I see this game as a modern genuine contribution to the utopian tradition in a format that is perfectly suited for that purpose. Perhaps a little bit of history is written here, because I am certain that academia will open up to video games as distinct art form to be taken seriously in the not too distant future.

Yes, I would think that it would be sufficient to be greenlit. Currently 5319 titles have been greenlit, and most of them are very conventional, not to say boring. Compared to them, G String is a real blockbuster. If you throw all the media here on moddb on the greenlight profile and make a newspost here on moddb, asking people to vote for it, Im quite certain that it will be greenlit in no time. The only obstacle could be the $100 submission fee, but even that is no problem if you ask the fans to donate for your project.

What do you mean by resources? What are the obstacles to go on greenlight? There are tons of games on greenlight that dont even deserve to be there in the first place because they are only proof of concept and will never be released. I cant imagine G String not being admitted.

I dont need to stress how professional this all looks, the level of quality is remarkable. Please do more newsposts like this, so that this game gets the attention it deserves.

Looks like at least on par with Titan: XCIX, and that was already the best HL2 mod!

Good! Im going to play it once in a while. How did you manage to persuade valve to release despite not updating it to source 2013?
@addi_b: linux support only with source version 2013. So no linux support. NT is still on 2006.
