uhm bruh .. remember the mod is working on ra3 .. and it has different game engine ... meaning somethings will not work as on original generals game -_-.

modders basically use the features that only ra3 provided... airfield with no runways and other more ...

you have to consider why the game lags , there are many type of things to contribute in lagging of the game (pathfinding,ai codes and scripts,map size,unit count,etc).. remedies are those what predator said ..others are:
try lessening the ai player count, play on a smaller map.

the game is too old and some stuff are hardcoded(means you cant edit it without the source code)

i think you are experiencing the resolution bug

try :
restarting the game
or
change your resolution then restart the game

lol i actually planning to working on a ZH with BFME stuff - Vanilla generals is not easy to mod , adding new units and structures on the game breaks the worldbuilder which is very important , without it you cant make ai for your mod.

this is most likely a mod with simple code changes but then you repack the whole files that doesnt even needed to repack.
