Seems to be fixed now :)
Seems to be fixed now :)
I asked about that and they said they were aware of it and working to fix it ;)
Oh, no don't worry. Loss is a part of life we all have to deal with at some point. Just make sure life is worth living for you and everyone you love :D so profit!
Incredible... Congratulation :') You must be overjoyed and I'm really happy for you.
Just forget about this project for a while and spend your time with your family, it is the most important thing in the world after all... and you never know when it may end :(
No, we should totally be able to play STALKER Lost Alpha on these Computers creating an infinite recursion! :)
Voted. Like every year :P
I hope you're doing fine... time flies by so fast. Anyway you always have my support even if it's only psychological.
It already won it once. It can't be MOTY again, at best it could get an honourable mention. I'm not too picky when it comes to the first round of voting, since you can vote for as many mods you like anyway.
Although in this case I say the devs deserve it for their stubborn dedication, attention to detail and for not giving up a long time ago ;)
You're doing an amazing job with bringing the early Stalker back to life. What I'm worried about though is that you end up adding too many features (feature creep) that have too much correlation between them and come in the player's way at some point or prove to be difficult to control/have unexpected behaviours on the gameflow.
Maybe my worries are unfounded and you are just so good at getting it all harmoniously together and balanced.
I love your emphasis on RPG elements and adding those very special (even small) scenes/encounters would make the game all so much more memorable.
There are absolutely no words to describe the beauty gracing my eyes here.
If the sounddesign is on par with the graphics, I might die from awesome overdose.
Breathtaking. Big improvement over the old model which reminded way too much of an unreal tournament character.
After playing this, my life will truly be complete. :)
I love the attention to detail. It's really coming along nicely...slow but nicely :P (j/k)
This should help you ;)

You have Google. You're smart. You'll find it ;)
I didn't forget you ;) (Voted!)! With this I also wish you a Happy New Year.
I hope you do well.
I agree with you DuckSauce on the conveyer belt thing... I tried different approaches to get as much as green crates as possible to the green goo room. Pushing four through the tunnels, picking up and throwing them but I ended up carrying them one by one to the room. Tiresome but I'm a calm, patient, hard-working man :P
The concept is refreshing and the puzzle elements to my liking. Good job!
Ahh... I'm just gonna vote for this ;)
Ever heard of the "calm before the storm"?
Very beautiful music, fits in perfectly ;)
It's the french translation for "Combine". It's what makes me cringe a bit about the french version of Half-Life 2.
Actually a dev confirmed that both the old fashioned way(use key) and this GUI way can be used to control the train. It's up to you ;)
Wow, I don't know what to say. Really professional stuff here, I'm amazed. It had a pleasant length, a satisfying length. Mr. Whirly is awesome :P, the outro was hilarious and what's up with that kamikaze Gnome? :3
Thank you for the good times.
Very Impressive Drewton, I've been following your Holowan Thread with much interest. I'm glad KotOR modding is still going so strong and incredible stuff is being made.
I hope the Restoration Project will also be released someday aswell, a complete TSL would be neat :)
By "outdated" I assume you mean the graphics are "outdated". Well, your Observation really applies to any Game out there. But you say yourself you are greatly looking forward to playing it, so you shouldn't worry at all about these issues. I also have to point out the Team is using the latest build of the Source Engine. It will include shiny HDR, motion blur, awesome cinematic physics, sexy particle effects, jigglebones and new features like "Procedural Terrain Displacement" or a Face-Creation System giving every single character a unique look. They're pushing the engine to its limits.
Once you go back to playing 15+ years old games, you might look at the whole issue from another perspective. I mean, you might be spoiled by this or that feature introduced by latest technologies and come to miss it in older Games. But I'm confident that anyone can get over it and actually greatly enjoy a title for what it is rather for what it isn't or hasn't. Once you have all this sorted out for yourself, you will see the problem in another light. Maybe.
This is just incredible! The mechanic simply has this coolness to it which makes you addicted to the game :P
Is it still being worked on? It would be shame to not elaborate more on this concept, it shows so much potential.
Thank you for the well spent fun ;) and keep it up!
If you own one of those games from that list, you will be able to play Black Mesa ;)
Those are good news, Vort coop is amazing. I'm looking forward to it!
Bravo, bravo, bravo...
I absolutely love Egyptian Settings and this adventure supplied much of this goodness!
There are no adequate words for me to express the feelings I got while playing this Mod. All I can say is that I had Goosebumps and at many occasions the scenes sent shivers down my spine.
I'm blown away by the quality and attention to detail you demonstrated with this episode. The fact you are a "one man army" working on this project is also unbelievable, makes one wonder what other tricks you have up your sleeves.
But enough kind words.
Others have already pointed out the story is non-existant. But that may be deliberately done in my opinion. Throwing the player into the adventure is not a bad design choice, it makes it all the more mystic and gives whole world that eerie feeling.
There was nothing I found particularly irritating. It had a smooth gameplay feeling, easy to learn and flexible. Using Mouse movement for combat was interesting and a good idea, while I would build more upon this to involve the environment. On this note I come to my suggestion being implementing more traps. Mecanisms, spikes, sliding walls... deadly traps both for you and for the enemies. There were some attempts, and considering they're rather rare I was taken by surprise. I favour some well placed ones, the player wouldn't necessarily expect. As a consequence it would make him/her paranoid throughout the game. (An additional stress factor is always good :P)
Just my 2 cents. Take your time, keep up the good work and please stick to the "when it's done" approach ;)
Don't try to fix what ain't broken! The stock HL2 HUD does a good job. But the adjusted transparent layer and the Font do a great job in immersing the player nonetheless.
I don't envy him, really. He must be working his *** off!
