i believe it's safe - many times when doing sth with bfme or rotwk the system thinks it's a virus, and nothing has happened to me from these files, especially when the devs said it was ok
Not sure if you're still there but try copying the medieval2.exe and renaming it to kingdoms.exe, it's the least advice i can give

Are you launching with the mod's shortcut? Is in it's properties everything right?

Nice! I like what you did wit Annúminas (both map and unit), I like the overall improvements, the opposite daytimes on Helm's Deep and Minas Tirith are awesome, it is now very much to my liking:). Only thing is Arnor's well doesn't have selection decal;), but that's a minor issue.

Sooooo, I've tried all the factions now(maybe except rohan cuz i don't like it that much(and angmar cuz i forgot but I've fought against it many times)). The visual side of the mod is incredible, especialy if you are one dev. I can see the hours of work behind it. For example the Gondor units, Arnor Dúnedain units and the rivendell ones look awesome, also the dwarves. There's some great ideas, I absolutely LOVE the Grat goblin's ability to train units, that's the best idea I've seen in a mod so far. The variety of the units and stuff is great but then when I see the South/east faction how it's unfinished, no upgrades for the fortress, many times there's building only in the builder's palantir, even when they could be on the sides(still dunno how exactly the builder works, though). Some units don't have the CapureFlag ability in their commandset. Rivendell is ridiculously strong, as well as Radagast.
Overall, a solid mod with a lot of potential. I hope it's still in progress so one day it will be truly awesome.
Very good! And actually hard! I'm beginning to mod this game and can't wait to expand the base game a lot! So expect an overhaul :)

So I tried this method, and not only it makes the shortcut as if I launched the green one, it even changed the icon. It won't let me add the game=age2_x2 anywhere.

Do you have Patch 202v840 enabled? Or on normal BFME2 patch 1.06? Have you checked the install guide? That's all I can come up with I am afraid.
