Hi, I'm Ben. I aspire to become a games developer specializing in the field of programming. Games have always been extremely important to my life and I hope to one day give people the same enjoyment that the video games have given me over the years.
Thursday the 28th 0f August was the date of our showcase. We set up Onslaught for its debut on SAE campus and I think that it went well. The game generated a lot of intrest amoung attendees with many of them stopping to play. We mannaged to get LAN play working in time for showcase which allowed us to run 4 computer with Onslaught on them, allowing people to play with their friends.
There was a lot of preperation for showcase. We needed to make any final changes to the game, including a credits screen, finalising the LAN features and fixing some major buges with the customisation screen. The features were taken care of thanks to our lead programmer Jake Gaske, while our marketing director and I worked towards creating posters and business cards for Onslaught.
We had many people come and play onslaight once it was on showcase, most of them bringing friends along to compete against. It was good to see people laughing and yelling as they played. Based on their reactions I would say that this trimester of work has been worth it and I'm glad we could make a game that gave people this much fun.
