Hoping that this already amazing mod - one of my absolute favorites - is continuing development, may I make some humble suggestions on how to raise this mod from amazing to perfect (in my personal opinion)?

1. More diversity between the Clans. It's mostly historically accurate the way it is, but I always felt that the Clans of Japan are too similar. They have the same units, only in different colors. Here are some ideas on how to improve that:
- Oda Clan: Should have most of their archery units replaced by gunners. Historically, Oda Nobunaga had the highest firearm ratio of any army in Asia, making up a greater percent of his army than the melee infantry. They also had exceptionally long spears known as nagae yari.
- Otomo Clan: Should have adapted more European-style warfare with many muskets, Nanban armor for their Samurai and long pikes for their Ashigaru. Historically they were one of the few Christian clans in Japan, with good trading relations with the Portuguese, and would likely have imported many weapons and tactics from the west.
- Takeda Clan: Should have a much greater percentage of cavalry than any other Clan. Historically they were known as the "kiba gundan" ("mounted army") because they were heavily reliant of cavalry charges, especially with lancers.

2. Other cultures. I understand that this is mod is primarily focused on Japan, and that including regions such as Korea or the Philippines would require a lot of work. The Ainu people in the north was a good addition, but what about Ryukyu? It's a small island kingdom culturally different from the Japanese; for example they were known to employ shields in the tinbe-rochin combination and many unorthodox weapons such as the Tekko. Also, perhaps it would be possible to include some interaction with the Europeans, such as importing higher-quality firearms or perhaps fight them to capture their unique equipment for your own use.

3. New items. This could add a little more diversity to the game, I hope:
- European arms and armor. If you decide to include some more interaction with the Europeans, perhaps it would be possible to buy special items from them such as armored horses, crossbows, pikes, rapiers, morion helmets, cuirasses and bucklers.
- Okinawan weapons. Even if you do not include the Ryukyu kingdom as a faction, I'd love to see some of their unique and unorthodox weapons available such as the rochin spear, tinbe shield and sai dagger.
- Pikes. The nagae yari was a long-shafted spear of 5-6 m (16.4-19.7 ft) that originated in the Oda Clan, but long pikes were used by a number of armies during the Sengoku Jidai.
- Wakizashi shield. I understand that dual-wielding would be difficult if not impossible to implement in the Warband engine, but what about a wakizashi that functions like a shield? I've seen it in the 1860s Old America mod, so it's clearly possible. Of course, it shouldn't be able to block arrows, though.

4. New units. Apart from the new additions suggested above.
- European mercenaries. Many Portuguese fought in Japan as mercenaries, employing tactics and weapons that were seen as unique and difficult to counter by conventional Japanese warlords.
- Mounted archers. Up until the mid-16th century, a majority of mounted samurai fought with bows. Takeda Shingen was the first - and for a long time, the only - Japanese warlord to use lancers as a concept.
- Okinawan mercenaries. If you do not wish to extend the map to include Ryukyu, would it at least be possible to make their weapons and create a mercenary unit? While Korean or Chinese mercenaries may be stretching it, I believe many men from Ryukyu fought in the Sengoku Jidai, as did the Ainu.

Revan is my favorite character in the Star Wars universe. I am still saddened that we could not join him in The Old republic game... it was simply heartbreaking to fight him, no matter how deluded he had become. Please, make the Revanites a playable faction. Give us the chance to conquer the Galaxy in Revan's name, as Bioware refused us.

I am very much looking forward to the release of this mod. It truly has the potential to become one of the best Empire at War mods ever made, comparable even to Thrawn's Revenge.

I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask this, or if the question is just plain stupid. I am very inexperienced when it comes to modding.

Is there any (simple) way for me to change what heroes (or units) are available to what factions in Galactic Conquest? I do not intend to copy or re-distribute this mod - this is solely for my personal use. But I would like to gather all Imperial heroes from all eras and factions (Ardus Kaine, Thrawn, Ysanne Isard, Zsinj, Palpatine, Treuten Teradoc and so on) for a single faction, to represent the Empire before the Battle of Endor. I'd also like this united Empire to have access to all Imperial weapons simultaneously, including multiple super star destroyers such as the Iron Fist and the Vengeance.
It doesn't matter to me if this means duplicating the heroes.

On a side note, I wish to thank you for creating arguably the best Empire at War mod ever. :)

The idea behind this mod is truly a great one, but also extremely ambitious (as all great mods are). I understand that it will take a long time to complete - but please do not let this mod die. The modding community is here to help you any way we can, so that we can all enjoy this great mod together in the future.

I don't know if this is possible to implement effectively, but perhaps these shuttles could commence boarding actions against larger ships to capture/disable them? Of course, instant-capture (like Chewbacca can do to land vehicles in vanilla) would be very overpowered and take the fun out of space battles. But perhaps it could take a long time for them to capture a ship depending on its size? And perhaps large ships (with large crews) could be made able to fend off boarders unless many shuttles attack the same vessel? Some sort of balancing would obviously be needed, but it would be a nice addition.

Looking forward to this amazing mod. :)

Is this mod only for Opposing Fronts, or does it work with the original Company of Heroes game? I don't own Opposing Fronts or Tales of Valor, but I want to try out this long-awaited mod.

Thank you for creating one of the best Warband mods in history!

While I have no complaints about this mod as it is, there is one thing I think would raise it to perfection. I love Japanese history, culture and warfare, but in the end all factions are similar. The Ainu people was a good addition, but there are more; Joseon Korea and the Ryukyu Kingdom would both be different and much-appreciated additions to this already amazing mod. And perhaps some interaction with the Europeans would be possible, such as importing higher-quality firearms that the other Daimyo does not have access to? Or... if you allow my fantasy to run wild, actually add the Philippines so the Japanese can liberate them from Spanish control.

Perhaps some of this is unrealistic. I am not a modder, just someone who loves mods - especially this one. But I would appreciate any of these additions.

Sorry if this is a stupid or previously asked question, but I want to make sure before I attempt a download: the top line says that this mod is for Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts, yet most people refer to it only as a CoH mod. I only have the original CoH (not Opposing Fronts), so will this mod work for me or not?

Thank you for your hard work, and your success in creating arguably the greatest Warband mod of all time.

Though in the most recent patch, 1.31, it's been said that wooden-handled weapons can no longer parry. This won't be a problem for me or other players, since we can pick other weapons, but won't that make Elite Ironborn Retainers kind of worthless? I'm trying to create a Viking faction on the mainland, and it bothers me a bit that the best available Ironborn troops can't defend themselves in close combat. My apologies if this issue has already been mentioned.

I have a serious problem with this game. Every time I try to join an ongoing game I choose my faction, unit and equipment as I assume one should. And then I wait, being marked as "dead" round after round without ever spawning. Is there some button I need to press to spawn? Or did something go wrong with the installation? Just don't tell me I need to wait a certain amount of rounds, because I have waited for entire matches without spawning.

This may very well become my favorite BF2 mod once it's finished. I wish you the best of luck in completing it. But I do have a question; in the list I see no battles between Sweden and Russia. Will no such map be included? I think many Swedish players would prefer to fight against Russia rather than our Nordic neighbors.

Also, I think that an interesting map would be a battle between Sweden and Finland over the Ă…land islands, kind of like the Midway map in Battlefield 1942. Speaking of which, is there going to be ships and aircraft in this game? I'd love to pilot a JAS 39 Gripen.

This is a great mod and I only have two things that need to be said. First of all, the custom battles should be made so that most factions don't use naked unarmed people... although it's fun to cut them down and custom battles aren't really that important with such a great campaign :)

Second, I was going to recruit some peasant women for my party... only problem is that they had beards o.o

Also, please, please, please, add an even more eastern map with Dothraki clans and cities like Qarth, Meeren and Yunkai. I want to join Daenerys so badly...

This mod is so far very good. I hope the full version will be released soon :)
