I finished my BFA in Animation and VFX with an emphasis on 3D modeling and texturing in May 2008. I am currently in the Twin Cities looking for opportunities as a 3D modeler and texture artist.

Finally, a game where passing gas while sitting in front of my computer is rewarded, instead of the "rewards" I am used to getting (dirty looks, gagging noises, fleeing friends/co-workers). I can't wait to see, and especially hear, this implemented. Mwha ha ha ha!!! Happy 4/1.

This is just the base body. Players will be able to add various armor and equipment, so the base body alone does seem a bit bare, but it is necessary in case players decide not to add anything.

Looking really good. My only crit is with the hands. The palm into the wrist seems a bit off (the thumb side of the palm/wrist seems to go much higher into the forearm than the opposing side, instead of being relatively even across the wrist). I think the fingers could be slightly thicker - the thumb looks great, but the rest seem a bit thin to me. I guess both of these issues could be do to the angle of the picture, maybe. Keep up the good work.

what do you mean regarding the sword(knife)? it was modeled over an orthographic image plane with no alterations on my part. i'm not sure what part you think needs to be rotated 90 degrees, but thanks.

Well, the problem is that the skull/head is proportioned fairly well, but the mask is basically a cylinder. Heads are not very wide side to side, so the mask does look a bit wide from the front, but his head barely fits in the mask from the side view.

The helmet is pretty much spot on from the concept art I was given...as far as shape. (see Moddb.com) Not exactly sure if the concept artist was using a specific reference or not.

This is a great start. I would recommend getting some references (especially a good skull reference) and checking some areas. The things that jump out at me the most are the face being wider than the back of the skull (should be the other way around, unless you are going for an alien look) and the profile of the head seems too spherical. With some minor tweaking of proportions this will look even better.

This is awesome. It reminds me a little of the Galactic Heroes/Super Hero Squad toys...except fantasy based (Fantasy Heroes?). This would be a neat little figure if you decide to have it printed (3D printing).

I agree about the shoulder blades, they could use some work. References are always good to have around (I would actually say that they are a must have). You might want to also check the side view again - especially the back because it is really flat in this model. Again, any reference you can find will make a huge difference. Keep up the good work.

I don't think he is wearing gloves, but the forearm/wrist guards have been modeled, just not textured yet, so I did not include them. I think gloves would be awkward for an archer in any case. As far as the hood, it might be more dramatic to have the hood cover more of his face, but I thought being able to see the eyes (at least a little) was important.

Interesting, but not so sure about functionality (if it were real). It looks like the user is supposed to grip the bow above the spot where the arrow goes, or are you rendering this up side down? Also, it seems too thick front to back, how is this supposed to flex when the string is pulled back? I don't mean to rain on your parade or be overly critical, but making some minor changes so that this looks like it could really be used (in the real world) will make this look much better.

OK...saying it is boring is not really telling me what could be improved. Please realize this is a work in progress (WIP). I have not actually done anything to the cape yet (I will be adding folds/wrinkles and other details), and I have not added a lot of detail to the quiver since it will be mostly hidden behind the cape, so yes...the quiver is somewhat boring and might stay that way depending on what happens with the cape (if it will hide most of the quiver once animated).

this is really cool. i love the color scheme and the smoke effect. if i may make a suggestion...everything seems to have a decent weight to it except the chain. i think if the chain showed a little more weight then it would make the dragon seem more menacing (heftier chain = stronger/meaner dragon). just my 2 cents. keep up the great work.
