I haven't worked on it in a long while... I start projects and work on them a lot in about 4-8 months and they kinda fall out of my mind, and eventually I come back to them after a while. I have a feeling this is another one of those. I'm not quitting, but I'm just not working on it for a long while.
XD I almost forgot how to use Hammer! But I'm doing surprisingly well after not mapping for so long.
Nah. I'm finally mapping the next chamber now. Using the new in-game editor in Portal 2 to plan out chambers and then mapping them myself in Hammer afterwards.
Well, they should be done with a quality product by now. It has been 5? years. I do believe however that the events of Portal 2 took place roughly 20 years after Portal and Half-Life and that's what I'm keeping within the canon of this mod.
4. The events of Portal 2 occurred roughly simultaneously with the events of Half-Life 2.

I'm going on a lot of assumptions like these:
1. Chell was a perfectly normally functioning member of society, she just chose not to talk to GLaDOS and Wheatley out of rage;
2. Gordon Freeman and the Resistance liberated Earth during the events of Episode Three and/or after that;
3. Chell was actually Cave and Caroline's illegitimate daughter, and Cave was going insane at the time, so Caroline kept Chell away from him to keep her from getting hurt; therefore keeping her in stasis most of the time.
The stock-music.com "watermark" sound is a lot more audible than I remember it being... wow...
Yeah, this is basically normal lighting, but it is more warm than Portal's lighting. Portal had cool/cold lighting

Uh, well, March isn't gonna happen unfortunately. Most likely I'll have to push it back due to lack of ideas and Minecraft addiction (I recently bought it and it's sucking up my free time. T-T)

The way they changed a lot of stuff in Portal 2 is they made hardcoded entities for doors, boxes, etc. instead of just generic prop entities with special inputs and outputs associated with them, which is the way they did things in Portal. They did the same thing basically with lasers, except the hardcoded entity came first (to the mapper), and the generic + I/O way came after. The generic + I/O way involves a lot of complicated stuff (on the mapper's end) that I don't understand. (and I really don't feel like figuring out [but will if I have to])
Hmm, yes, I was planning on introducing vents in this chamber, so that's really useful. However I can't use lasers, I can't figure them out. Ah, I forgot to put them up in the contest post in stuff you can't use... Oh well, the contest's over now, and you win! And nobody else gets anything.
