I'll leave this running on my seedbox for the foreseeable future as a token of my appreciation, you've done a lot for this mod.

Actually, even if you do figure out the whole alternate scope issue, it might be neat to see improved mobility at the cost of reduced handling and accuracy with close range optics / iron sights, and more traditional scope mechanics with the higher zoom optics.

I can't understate how awesome this mod is shaping up to be. I'm a tad disappointed that you won't be doing Shoker-type attachments - I'm a huge sucker for gun customization in games - but I also realize that it'd probably be a ton of effort that might be better spent elsewhere. I like the idea of a magazine system. Now, I haven't played Redux - how similar is it to, say, Zone of Alienation's magazine system? ZoA's system, while realistic and usable enough, has always been a tad clunky. Excellent work as always, and I can't wait to see how the update turns out.

Now I'm no firearms expert, but I'm pretty sure you're supposed to take the scope off before you use the iron sights.

Just to throw in my two cents, I'd like to see two versions of this mod. A total conversion would be nice, but I'd also like to see an (optional?) version that simply adds content to an existing universe. X3 requires a huge investment of time to get off the ground in, and I'd prefer to be able to add content to my game without having to start from scratch.

Guys, I think that it's dead. Their website said that all BF2142 mods were being permanently canceled. Too bad, It looked amazing, and I couldn't wait for its release.
