Version 1.04 of Monster Minis Extreme Off-Road for Linux has been released to bring it in line with the Windows build:
Improved steering sensitivity control.
Added more gamepad profiles.
Notify player when new game controller is connected when game is started, and allow them to proceed directly to controller setup.
Updated help for gamepad configuration.
Note for Linux gamepad/joystick/wheel users: Each time you start the game and enter your first race, make sure to move the analog sticks/pedals/triggers through a complete range of motion so the game can auto-calibrate them.
Sorry I missed your post in our forum. Press F2 anytime in-game and use the sensitivity slider at the bottom of the GUI. This is mentioned in the manual too (F1).
Ed's going to be putting up improved Linux gamepad support in the very near future too.
Thanks! Glad you like it, and we agree - it is a LOT better. I used to hate the 360 pad, but now I prefer it. Sorry it took so long..... Can we count on an update to your review?
Version 1.04 has been posted and is now available. This update includes a revamp of the sensitivity control for gamepad and joystick steering. Check it out!
We listened to our customers and we agreed. Our controller setup needed work. We're happy to say that we've found the way, and the gamepad is now a great choice for racing our tracks. There are default configs for a few of the more common controllers (most notably the 360 for Windows pad) but you can map them any way you like. Our apologies for not getting it right last time, but we think you'll be very pleased with the new setup. Enjoy the racing gamepad users!
Please visit our forums for further assistance with individual issues and flavors of Linux. You may start your own help thread in our "ask for help" subforum. Thank you in advance.
The full version of Monster Minis Extreme Off-Road for Linux is now available! Enjoy!
We are working on a standalone installer for the Linux version. Thanks, and ENJOY!
Thanks for the great review!
Can you help test our Linux build here on Desura? That would be very helpful.
Sent you a message on Steam.....
Thanks! Glad you are enjoying the game!
Is that a new price point I see?
Yes it is. Got it thanks - will try it out later.
A demo or a "public beta release"?
P.S. That's quite the games list you have there.....
You've been a great help to us and we love that. I wish there were more people like you who really love games.
It's great to see people get the love out of our work that we put into it. Thanks very much for all your support!
Thank you very much!
How are you coming along with progressing through the game?
Thanks for the bump. You rock!
Most of them. It runs on my old XP rig.
