Just saw it has an "Emergency Reset" switch hidden away in Doom Infinite options, it needs to be better visible. The average user ain't gonna read all that or fiddle with the menus until the need arrives.

Its a good mod but has so much unintuitive choices.

A tad ****** that when you softlock, it has no way of recovering you.
Fell into a pit that was supposed to be poison and was water, and ended up being unable to get back, tried to enable cheats to noclip out of it, and the game bork my save.

If it is to be a fair mod, gotta have some sort of softlock protection, or atleast be a BIT flexible with cheats and whatnot.

Not sure, if the sourceport supports replacing the old PCXes from the HUD with pngs, it should work just fine.

Here to say it doesn't work on GLQuake, neither WinQuake. Stuff is too detailed for them.
Tested on 86Box with the Voodoo3 GPU option.

I have the entire sourcecode of Quake 2 Generations here and it could help with that task, just implementing ranger and all.

Tried on "Come get some!" First, then "Let's Rock", but both feel way too overpowered.
I mostly think that keeping pig cops strong are fine, but the normal aliens / enforcers doing damage that makes me go to the 20s on 3 shots is a bit overpowered.

EDIT: If possible, 2 versions (One with new content and rebalances, and another one with the new content sprinkled in but more casual-like) would be the best for me and probably non-pro Duke players.
Yes i understand you want people to learn how to fight against them using the new arsenal and indeed it works to fire the pistol away from them, but in the end its just that and getting low on ammo, or risking going close and then dying for 2 stray shots you didn't see from a target away.

Hey man! This looks like a nice mod, but the difficulty curve is too harsh, and by too harsh i mean VERY harsh.
Is there any way to tone it down a little? No matter the difficulty, its way too hard to beat, even BLOOD on the higher difficulties seems easier and more fair than this mod.

Since the mod is in an hiatus, any chance of having the Portals used in the mod as skins? I really like how they aren't ovals and look more wavey and fire-y than the normal ones. Reminds me of the vine portals.

I dunno, the shaders are on Vulkan format.
If you look at the source of them, they used the alphas of the bumps and the diffuse to calculate the reflectivity, if you can boost the reflections on these areas only, you should have the same results as them, problem is, you would have to use a cubemap (envmap) similar to the Quad Damage effect.
Since you are the OG q2XP dev, you probably know how better than i do, the best i could do on the current pipeline was this.

I liked the mod but, the Quicksave thing is the stupidest design idea ever.
The game doesn't do it automatically, and if you don't save often, it will make you start the campaign all over again, for us , avid Quake players, pressing spacebar after a death comes naturally, im pretty sure people complained about that already.
Any chance to have this disabled for next version? Its a huge flaw in my book, it restarted my campaign for the fifth time (I was on E2M3 and now im back at 0 witn no runes!)

Something is overwriting the QL textures, or they are beign loaded in a different order, please ensure you have no other Playermodel replacement textures.
