I am Frankie Hutzler! But you might know me as Macrobius. I do freelance concept art (pencil on paper) of characters for indie games and often offer my skills in writing and designing whenever necessary. I've done a lot of indie game development in the past. I've even managed other people's games and communities myself! Also, I am currently leading and managing my own small indie game development team which has recently just started the development of an unannounced PC game using the UDK. Despite the 16-bit 3d look of the game, Minecraft is by far one of the best adventure games I've ever played. Why? The game generates new random worlds with so many things within them to explore and utilize, it's tough to look down upon this game as a 'bad game.'
If you want to play an adventure game and feel like you're exploring new places every time you play or start a new game, Minecraft will surely deliver that feeling for a good while. And once you've spent too much time playing Minecraft and become too familiar with the game, there are plenty of mods out there for Minecraft which change the gameplay and look of the game.
Overall, it's a kickass game that ANYONE (including younger audiences) can enjoy!
