shephard's gun handling in this vid is military precision translated into viewmodel animations.
yes I have, and I could have asked such question to you instead of the Redux Team. in the end I only wanted to know about both projects' potential relationship.
the point wasn't to be offending nor to imply there was a competition. my apologies if my ignorance or clumsyness led me to look THAT shocking or irrelevant.

hi!
you guys considered the possibility of joining forces with the Dark Interval Team?
that may be important to think about it seriously, especially now when both projects are still in the first half of the storyline. while matching together successfully two different visions of the Beta may prove to be quite a challenge, more manpower sure is a non-negligible plus.
You have done well. Some other mods are in a limbo since ages yet we don't even know if someone is still working on it. I like when modders communicate.
Also, you shouldn't feel guilty because you're putting more dedication into another project. Finishing what you started is a form of common sense, not some kind of debt you owe us. Followers acting like it's the latter simply need a little, educational slap.
Still, I thank you for being so concerned about your fans. May peace reconquer your mind.
Not to mention the floor seems to have been wiped quite recently. Must be frustrating for the Vort in charge.
I don't see any tripmines down the corridor to kill that foolish scientist. Kinda intrigues me.
Neat changes btw.
From what I can tell, it looks pretty.
But I've yet to find a good ambush position. Especially with the dead guy potentially giving away my presence.
Okay, I change my point of view about HL2's end: When you see how big this kind of place is, getting yourself captured by a wild ride to go straight to the bad guy's office isn't that bad of an idea.
Wow, I thought the Combines just incinerated him like a bunch of pricks, but they were just "hiring" him.
That'd be cool to add captions to the overwatch soldiers' lines; it's quite hard to understand them when you're not a good english speaker.
Anyway, I'm certain that you'll Rise and Shine again, Mr.Breadman. I wish you good luck!
"Coming at aliens down a steel corridor!"
I remember that there are bodies in City 17, but they aren't that plentiful indeed, especially in the streets. As for the Citadel, they're also present, but even rarer.
It looks very impressive; I especially like the corridor. Imo it feels very different from other Combine maps I've played before; should I expect it to be so in the final version?
The only thing I don't really like are those big signs above the doors;
it doesn't look very combinish for me, even with this particular font.
I like those additions! Also, the red star muzzleflash looks cool.
We should thank you as well for all your work and for keeping it alive. Even if Valve threatened you, you took the risk to give us an updated, "pure" Half-Life experience. So... thx m8! Have a happy New Year, may your future life be cool, and may FunkyJohnny lead this mod into the right pass.
That's been a long time, as usual =P , but I'm always glad to see this project is still going.
Is Badass Combine still alive? Will the v1.0 be released? Why such a long silence? What happened to the dev?
Glad to see you alive, guys. You've made some pretty good work! Now, I have 2 questions: will the Sniper always crouch when shooting at a long range target? And will his textures simply be enhanced or he will have a different camo ?
As long as we have gloves, I'm fine with all of them. (even if the A seems too big for a HEV Suit)
Your demo is good. The maps are beautiful, and are fun to play; we can clearly see your five years of modding, level-design speaking. However, it feels sometimes incoherent : for exemple (Minor spoilers ahead), why nobody were in the streets in the first maps? Same goes for the Vorticells: shouldn't there be Metrocops to guard them so that nobody would deactivate them? Also, I feel fights come too early; it's the chapter 1, and while I thought it would be similar to the Retail, I find myself killing a bunch of zombies with a stunstick. But here, that's only me who was expecting the chapter to be like the actual HL2, so I won't say it's a bad thing either. Overall, I find that's a good start.
I don't really call that a Combine weapon, but that's not bad, visually speaking.
It wasn't supposed to be a rebel head in the first place, but the devs recycled it after Captain Vance was merged with Eli Maxwell.
There is also the particle storm: Combineoverwiki.net . It may be useful for keeping the player away .
