The icons look a bit blurry to me. Is it dependant on screen resolution?

Named NPC will automatically detect you through disguise, so never talk to them.
The fastest and most efficient way to get rich is to go to Army Warehouse as fast as possible.
It is like a huge crossroads in the zone where members from most factions will pass through here and fight each other. Typically, there will be 2-3 big shootouts per day and various small fights. All you need to do is loot the bodies and sell the loots or keep them for yourself. There is also little threat from big mutants apart from random bloodsuckers at night and controller (rarely).
Pay attention to the map and random messages to know where those big shootouts are. There are 4 hotspots around the map: the abandoned shack to the northwest near Dead City, the Barrier to the northeast, the bloodsucker village and the house on the hill near Rostok.
Try to observe and follow each faction's route. Duty squads will move along the main road and stand watch at checkpoints. Freedom squads will move from their base to either the Barrier or the abandoned shack and stand watch along the way. Merc squads usually stand watch near the checkpoint to Dead City and never go pass the abandoned shack. Loner, eco, CS and bandit squads will cross the bloodsucker village and rarely stop at checkpoints. Monolith squads usually stay near their spawn points and never go past bloodsucker village or the barrier.
Anyway that was fixed in v2 so it is all good now
It is pretty random though. Sometimes they disappear after the corpse is looted, but sometimes they just stay there even after both me and NPC has picked the corpse clean.
After a minute or so, the white dots for corpses disappear from the minimap even though the corpses are still there. Is this intended?

Yeah, I know that already. But my point is that these blowouts are useless. As you said, it's much easier to lure fleshes or dogs into anomaly to get artefacts
Which ltx file should I edit to completely disable non-scripted blowouts? With LA's blowouts not spawning artifacts, they're exists just to add flavour and forced me to run across the map.

Good mod here. But if you could add some pillows with real life gravure idol pics then that would be perfect. And it would make all those triggered mutants shut up too.

There's no word play in my username. As you can see, "Lost to the Zone" is what you get after dying in the game. I get that a lot when I started playing Stalker, so might as well make it an username.

The biggest change you should make is to add travel dialogues to certain NPCs instead of just "jumping" between smart terrains.
The faction war in CS is terrible, so if they're going to include it in SGM 3, I hope there will be some improvements.
About those NPCs, if you're talking about ones that guard the gate and talk to you, they're scripted NPCs and will not respawn.
You gotta stay inside the ship and sleep for 3-4 straight days, then go outside. When you go far enough the quest will update and Cardan is up again.
First, you must go under a stair case in the building with the quest mark, there will be a dead monolithian. Search his body, the gun will then spawn either on top of that building or on top of cement plant.
That's strange, and you're screwed, man. Doing Sword's mission is the only "safe" way to clear out the bandit base and allow the story to process.

seriously, each SGM version is a different game of its own, so you'll have to install it separately and start a new game.
