Look, I’ve come to this position simply due to how it all played out.
Let me give you an example of a recent conflict in a mod team that I’ve seen to compare this one with:
A member of this mod team kept forcing the rest of the team down the way they wanted to take the mod despite every other member disagreeing and wanting to do differently. This friction reached a point where this member was kicked from the team, but not from the community around the mod (I should also mention that they’re also the discord admin for the mod), with a rather uneasy peace of sorts. A few minor mod updates later, they started ramping up their passive aggression and deleted an important channel in the discord (without discussing this discussion with the rest of the team, of course). The mod team was worried they might escalate it further, but then they later left altogether, with nothing happening since.
Here’s what did NOT happen:
The mod’s pages/socials, and team members did NOT get attacked by bots.
They did NOT leak the rest of the team’s work and make a video bragging about it while attacking the character of their former mod team members.
And they most certainly did NOT start a rival mod with the work they took (and there definitely wasn’t any new accounts praising/supporting this new rival mod).
All I see here is a community that’s still searching for answers, and hasn’t been given them despite asking what exactly happened those few years ago.
Also, if you want hard evidence, you can find that on the wayback machine. The internet never forgets.
