Yeah I know, I never had to do that back when I had the game installed for years. I had this little problem now and I had to uninstall everything. Left it be for 1 week or so and now I tried again was still getting that error and saw online to run it in compatibility mode. I installed it, set compatibility and now it works. Every time I try to disable compatibility it stops working. No idea what's going on.

I'm sure gonna stick around for those updates! Thanks for your work!

I just wanted to tell you that after trying countless things and trying and trying I finally got it to work. I got to a point where I had to uninstall ROTW and BFME 2 because everything stopped working but I finally got it to work after a week.

Just wanted to tell you in case anyone else comes to you with this error, it's ABSOLUTELY important that the shortcut is set to compatibility with Windows XP (Service pack 3) if that option is not selected the game (any version of the game) won't launch at all. I know it seems stupid and simple but after all these years I completely forgot that about this game and it almost made me give up because I could not get it to work.

Now it's working perfectly. I thank you very much for this great mod

I have more than one disk I have 4 actually. but C disk is where I installed BFME 2 since it's the easiest way around for that game when it comes to installing mods and whatnot.

Does the mod have any requirement when it comes to the Original BFME 2? any patch? that game has patch v1.6.

I just can't figure it and it bugs me because the game is a fresh install and it was also giving me the same error without patch v8.4 being installed. How can I have the same error if supposedly that error comes from v8.4?

Yeah it's super weird to be honest. Because I reinstalled and redid everything.

I saw a guy in the comment section few days ago report the same problem but he didn't say anything if he fixed it or not.

I deleted ####2.02 v8.4.big.
Restarted my pc, still doesn't work. I'm at a complete loss.

Just tried something, I uninstalled the patches. Installed only the 2.02 v3.0.0.. tried launching the mod and I still get the same error.. I didn't install patch v8.3 or v8.4. installed the patch v8.4 switched to v8.3 and get same thing again.

Could it be the mod itself? just a thought.

I uninstalled the patches, uninstalled the game.

Reinstalled ROTWK - Installed patch 2.02. Installed 2.02 v8.4.0 - Opened the patch switcher, switched to v.8.3 and still doesn't work.

The mod folder is in my desktop, sent a shortcut of rotwk to my desktop, edited the target. Every single step. Still not working. Same error.

Not only I deleted Kingdom of Arnor, I completely reinstalled the game and still doesn't work. I patched 2.02 v8.3.0. No idea what's going on.

Okay I did that. Here's something interesting. I removed the Kingdom of Arnor from my ROTWK folder, put them in Electronic Arts folder. Redid the path on the shortcut, now Gondor & Rohan & Arnor won't lunch with 2.02 v8.3.0 enabled I'm still getting the same error, BUT if I lunch "Kingdom of Arnor" with v8.3.0 Enabled it will still lunch and if I check the version of the game in the in-game settings it says 2.02 v.8.4.0.

That's very weird. It's like "Kingdom of Arnor" is launching it's own patched version of the game.

That's my ROTWK folder with patch 2.02 v.8.3.0 enabled.

You'll see that the "Kingdom of Arnor" folder is inside my ROTWK folder... that mod works perfectly, I just put the folder inside there so it's easier to locate and I don't have it laying around somewhere in my computer.

I placed it inside the ROTWK folder just to put it somewhere, I re-did all the steps with the mod on the desktop. I uploaded an image so you can check the error I'm getting with every single detail.

I can't seem to be getting this mod to work, which is weird because Kingdom of Arnor works perfect for me, straight up.

I followed the pictures instructions (which are the same as the Kingdom of Arnor ones) but it still launches the normal ROTWK.

I put: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\lotrbfme2ep1.exe" -mod "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king\Arnor & Gondor & Rohan 2.02 v8.3.0" in the target area.

And: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Lord of the Rings, The Rise of the Witch-king"

in the start in, so it should work.

My game is in 2.02 v8.3.0. I tripled checked this btw, scanned the active modules and they are

-2.02 v8.3.0
-2.02 v 8.2.0
-2.02 music
-Timer Enable
-Intro movies disable

I'm getting an issue with Upgrade_BasicTrainingTier1 and it says:

Error Parsing field 'TriggeredBy' in block 'Object' in file 'data\ini\object\evilfaction\mumakil.ini', line 1.

I tried creating the shortcut again, redoing all the steps but still get that error. Any help would be great, please and thank you!

Question, what's the difference between the Arnor faction in this mod and the one in Kingdom of Arnor, I use the latter and I absolutely love that mod. Just wondering if there are any significant differences between those two.
