Intro



This is the last blog for the game that im currently developing as a UNI assignment, Onslaught has been a nightmare and a blessing at the same time. Yesterday was the game showcase for SAE, and onslaught was on display. the reactions from people were a blessing, seeing people play and enjoy the game made it worth it. the final blog is going to display the work that was finished and polished before show case.



Loot Boxes



The loot boxes finally got to the final stage and was able to polish it to be nicer and more fluent when unlocking, not only that we finally finished users being able to unlock items, this meant that you could customise your tank to the best you could.



Main Menu



Alot of feedback from the main menu was great, with all the feedback from not only was i able to understand everyones complaints i was also able to create with the help of our Ui designer a proper Ui that was easy to follow and very easy to undertand, not only that it was smooth and almost bug free.


Multiplayer



Multiplayer was the greatest part of the game, but was a huge let down when players were experienceing over 200 ping. this lead to unfair and boring games, the way to fix this was to add in a lan option or local client host, which ment the players hosted the game and server on there computer, this ment there was a huge amout of lag reduction to the point that there was barley any. this also ment the game was fun and easier to run.


Annaylitcs


for the game to improve i added in some small anaylitcs to best test how things were going, this ment i was able to test how much kills people were getting as well as seeing the most common spot that people were dieing this ment i was able to work wiith the level deisnger to tweak the map designes slighty to make the map balanced and fair.
