So..in my genius I put a O instead of a 0 in the enabledmods txt file..yeah, #facepalm.
Anyway, cool mod man, looking forward to seeing how it develops.

Is this standalone or does it need to be stacked with other mods?
It crashes on the loading screen.

Use 1.92 Legacy in Beta options and you're golden ;)
Just thought, you may be having another issue re your crash in settings, make sure to delete any auto saved games that you may have from playing 1.93.

It might be worth looking at the particle effects for weapons as i have a feeling that these are the main cause of lag this mod suffers from.
I've noticed over the years that the engine in sins just doesnt seem to like certain types of particle effects and can protest much more quickly because of that than the numbers of strike craft.
Aside from that,i feel the colors of the weapon effects could be more vibrant..less washed out looking.
Love this mod for the inclusion of the cis and republic factions mainly :)
Just a few thoughts for your consideration.

Hey guys,i've noticed a couple of issues.

1. The pirate cutlass frigate's shield does not match the ship,it's too small and the wrong shape.

2. This one is more serious,i was playing the TFF random vast map and all was going well until my cap tried to auto colonize a Class P glaciated moon.
I got the message the planet was captured, however it remained neutral but spawned my factions construction tug inside the planet (also as a neutral).
I tried to manually capture it after that and the game dumped.
For reference,i'm running the TFF module with the icon replacer addon.

Love some of the ships in this, the asgard chariot is sweet,i made it a capital ship because it looks too epic to be a cruiser :D

I have modded other ppls mods over the years for my own pleasure and i happen to have a whole bunch of stargate sounds/soundbytes from episodes of the show i made in audacity.
Most are goauld, but i have a couple of wraith weapon sounds and an asgard/daedalus beam one also.
If you are interested i will locate them all and pack them up,just let me know how to get them to you.

Built a romulan starbase and it turned out to be called Unicomplex 9568..i think supply of romulan ale may have to be curtailed.

God,battles in this mod look so epic!

Very nice guys!
It always seemed like the Vulcans should have had a much greater presence in star trek as an established race, love their ships, what few of them i have seen and these are beautifully done :)

Right-click on the files and open them with wordpad instead of notepad, you will get the proper editable layout then.
It should be present in notepad really but it's dependent on exactly how the files were created.

The following maps have no images in the map selection screen.
[TFF] Clarius System
[TFF] Standoff
[TFF] Ashes
[TFF] Fire and Ice
[TFF] The Passage
[TFF] Karemma
[TFF] Hinduku
[TFF] Quartet
[TFF] Meeting of Empires
[TFF] Cerberus Sector
All other maps have images assigned.

I'm also wondering, has the borg difficulty been lowered since the last release?
I played a game on the borg smasher map, myself and some ai vs a single borg.
The borg difficulty was set to expert, other ai's were set to hard and at about an hour and a half into the game the borg just quit without a fight.

1920 x 1080 16:9

Thanks for all your efforts Masterchief9732,best of luck with your new ventures, whatever they may be.

I'm really excited for this mod,i have put a few hundred hours into modding your 1.80/1.82 version over the past few years.
I can do most stuff in sins except modelling+texturing.
Can do mesh resizing, txt editing,sounds/music etc.
I have a bunch of sounds i made already for your old mod version, weapon+event sounds and some music,so if you guys need any additional help getting races working etc feel free to msg me here on moddb.

Hey guys,i have noticed a lot of the legacy ships you showcased a few years back are not currently in the mod and there is no download pack except for the d'deridex, are you currently placing them into the mod or will you be releasing an addon pack with them again?
There are some really rice looking ships there :)

Thanks,i am aware of other methods such as that,in fact i sometimes mod music and other sounds into various sins mods myself.
I just thought it would be a great finishing touch for this mod.

JadeDragon - - 88 comments @ Star Trek: Armada 3

Have you guys considered adding new music?
I find the current music very lackluster and not evocative of that special trek feeling, admittedly this may be because i never really played the armada games (i'm guessing the music might be from those?) but i feel if you were to add music from the various movies it would catapult this mod to new heights, really immerse the player in the star trek ambience.
It would be the perfect finishing touch :)

JadeDragon - - 88 comments @ Star Trek: Armada 3

Hey guys,few things to mention.
The janissary has a 5th ability (assuming for ai) that has no icon or strings attatched.
The children of tama ships and kessok cruisers i saw had no faction icon on them.

Also i think it would be better to bump speeds of neutrals and pirates a little, minus 15%-20% of playable faction ship speeds should be sufficient to eliminate most out of system issues and still keep them at a decent speed.

This is especially the case for the pirates.
For example on larger maps there can be an issue where by the time the pirates launched at a player arrive they are in a gigantic stream of fleet because of multiple raids launched on the player coupled with the very slow speeds of the pirate ships.
No doubt this is not optimal for performance either.

Found another map related issue guys, the map "[TFF] Borg Basher (GulGaming)"
shows instant defeat after loading up.
Or perhaps that's just the Borg's way of dissuading resistance :D

Hi guys,Love the new intro in TFF!
I haven't actually had a chance to play it yet but i did load it up after install to check all was good and i noticed some of the tff maps have no picture, just a white box.
I initially re-downloaded to check it wasnt a messed up d/l,then i checked the map files.
Here is a list of the affected maps.

[TFF] Clarius system
[TFF] Standoff
[TFF] Ashes
[TFF] Fire and Ice
[TFF] The Passage
[TFF] Karemma
[TFF] Hinduku
[TFF] Quartet
[TFF] Meeting of Empires
[TFF] Cerberus Sector

All of these affected maps are using browsePictureName "TFF_Icon_MapBrowser_Generic"

All other maps are fine.

Ugh..so i seem to have fixed it,for anyone else having a similar issue as above, you just need to decompile those 2 files (save to txt format) in a text editor like wordpad.

Sorry to spam your comment section psychoak.

Hi,back to bug you again ;p
I'm trying to add a few things to your mod atm and i'm having problems editing your string file and entity.manifest file,i have not seen these files arranged this way before.
Any entry i try to place in them is resulting in a minidump.
All files relevant to the entries im trying to include are set up correctly, including namecounts.
Any help would be appreciated,thanks.

Damn,that idea got rekt :D
The most obvious factor left then is the disparity in immediately available dps for the dominion compared to all other factions due to only 4 ships out of their whole lineup having a secondary weapon system in the form of torpedoes.
In particular only 1 ship out of the entire frigate+cruiser lineup has them from the start.
I think despite the buffs you have designed this may be hamstringing them a bit..it's a lot of absent firepower in the mass producible ships that the other factions have.
This could be tricky to balance i suppose but maybe worth testing?
