I hope that with CS2 taking over CSGO and the official support for the latter ending in 2024, Gaben will finally give you the source code since there is little reason for them to keep safeguarding it if the game will not be receiving any more updates. Fingers crossed

It's not entirely like that, it's still like HLDM but simply on a smaller scale with tighter maps. It's more in the spirit of PS2 Head-to-Head mode than Quake, tho I suppose at times it can get mad enough to give you that slight Quake vibe

Yes, I began working on the code before the new version was released and just didn't bother updating since I already had most of the codework done at that point and the older version has all the features I was after anyway. Well, that and probably the fact that I suck at coding lol

Any new weapons are likely going to be based on the Opposing Force weapons, or just something that is going to fit within the theme of Half-Life 1 so no CS or DoD. As for game modes, it's FFA only.

Honestly, even if it won't attract many people, it's fine. Originally I had started this just as a small project for me and my friends so from the get-go it was a mod that you'd presumably host locally to play with a close group of people rather than anything necessarily public.

Still, I might host some servers upon release in case there will be interest.

Both of these are actually old projects of our members (CS:CZ mission pack was designed back in 2017) which we simply chose to re-visit as part of our new Addon page in order to show a small chunk of our past. Everything from there on, including Arena and some other small projects which are going to be announced in the coming months, is brand new (sorry for the confusion)

Definitely my favorite level in the game, so I hope you'll do it justice... thankfully it seems like I do not need to worry at all :)

Thanks, 2020 is undeniably a disaster and we certainly didn't expect it to be that bad for us aswell but hopefully karma will do its job and next year will be the big one ;)

It's true but there are is also a big difference between these two, I highly doubt that Black Mesa's development was as slow as ours (mostly due to tiny team we have and constricted time to dedicate to development)

Either way, we're hoping to be able to resolve our internal issues before the end of the year end get this old train back on track with speed. Thanks for your support!

Oh man that Crossfire screenshot looks almighty sexy already. I'm really curious personally to see how Intensity is going to look like, it was my favorite level from the game.

Due to lack of any media content this year, here you have one more previously unreleased comparison between old and new Resurgence. As you may notice, the new version isn't exactly 100% done in this picture and I can tell you that it has received a little bit more detail and new lighting pass ever since aswell as proper skybox.

In the old game it was shopping centre, now it's an old museum turned into ration distribution center for the citizens of City 37.
