The event that decides what to build is the select event in AutoBuild_VANILLA_select_event.txt. FWIW, it doesn't do batches or anything like that, that event selects one thing to build at a time and then immediately calls itself again. So I'm not sure what's going on; maybe your filters aren't set right, because by default it limits it to your direct holdings?

I thought it did. I'll add it to my long list of things to take a look at.

AFAIK Elder Kings for 3.2 isn't out. I'll make a version for it when it gets updated. There is a version for Elder Kings under the 3.0.1 bundle.

i don't think quickbuild will affect the mod one way or another; though if you set your stewards stewardship to 100 and have him do the construction job in a province, the mod will check for that and build things in 1 day.

All vassals should include barons/counties, though enabling all the conditions won't hurt anything. Barons and counties is more for upgrading within your directly held core demense.

I don't understand the question, or apparently know less than you about Ashkenazi or Sephardi. =)

Updated for Beta, but looks like they are mucking around with buildings (beta replaces the buildings folder, and only defines 180 buildings which seems pretty radical to me) so YMMV.

I suspect the recent update (a few minutes ago) will solve some of your issues. It wasn't calculating the maximum discount (in both terms of cost and time) properly because before this mod it hasn't really come up before. E.g. in GOA it should be a lot faster if you have unholy architecture.

That said, more to your point, I haven't thought about prioritizing based on discount. I will have to think about that; it might be possible, but I don't pre-calculate the discount flags, or for that matter re-calculate them outside of the decision to build somewhere. It would require a fairly hefty overhaul, but it is an interesting idea.

I'm not sure. It seems fast enough for practical purposes to me anyway. What situation does it seem to be taking too long in?

The gold/prestige reserve options should make it function that way.

Or rather, they don't spend your bank account below that amount of money. It generally prioritizes by value first before anything else though things like hospitals/family palaces/trade posts/forts are considered after all other holdings (because their scoping is different.)

Was that a mod or vanilla? Sorry for not responding sooner, I don't check this.

That seems like it should work; though it only rechecks those modifiers every 30 days or so.

One thing that might help is adding log to see if it's even hitting that line of script. e.g. log="boon checked in [This.GetName]" See: Ck2.paradoxwikis.com

I tested that mod and it still apparently works, so I created an uploaded a mini-mod for it. Just re-download the zip above. =)

I forgot about that mod. Looking at the nexus link, it doesn't look like it's been updated. I can generate a mini-mod for it if it's been updated to work with the latest patch.

Yes it works with 2.6.1. With regards to working together, you only need one, e.g. vanilla (if you are using no other mods) or the appropriate version for whatever mod (e.g. AGOT, etc.)

This is a pretty old version, for an older version of Warhammer and an older version of CK2. I don't think I have a copy of that version of warhammer anymore, so hard for me to debug.

My recommendation is to update to the latest CK2 and latest minimod and see if the issue still exists. If you can't do that for some reason, then on the paradox forums (linked in the summary) there's a thread for this mod that has the source code that was used to build this upload available; you might have luck generating a mini-mod that will work from the source.

Other than that, everything should be automatic. BTW, my early middle ages test with Byzantines seemed to work. I'm on a slightly newer version though. I don't think anything changed, functionally (I've been working on the internals, mostly) but who knows. It's the 17-1c consolidated zip.

It's straightforward. Open the menu, enable AutoBuilding, and it should be good. The other options are purely optional, allowing you to enable building for holdings you control indirect, e.g. barons that are you direct vassals, barons that happen to be in a county you control, but might not be your direct vassals, or all vassals regardless of rank or type. The reserves stop it from spending gold/prestige unless you have more than that amount.

That can happen since there's not really any way to detect that you are building something. I could disable building while it's building, but I felt like that would be annoying. In the case where it finds the building already there when it 'completes' it it will (or should) refund you the gold/prestige you paid for it and queue something up.

It should build things starting with the cheapest thing first, so if you direct manual efforts to more expensive buildings that shouldn't happen as often.

Unless it's happening repeatedly or something, then that sounds like a bug.

Need more details to debug that. What start date, what character /type (e.g. republic, fuedal, nomad, etc) to see if I can replicate it. It works for my test (Venice, 768).

One thing is that the event fires silently, you get notifications when it starts building something and when it finishes building something. This is to by design, but if you have a lot of notifications firing you might miss them.

Sorry for necro, but what do you mean, faster? Like, instant build stuff? Or is the event firing too slow for you?

Try the other EK file I uploaded. It will probably work better, this one had some issues.

That said, I'll put 'enable/disable' buttons for various building types isn't a bad idea; I'll add it to the list.
