It's a pretty interesting game, for sure. So far the only issues I have are: 1. The UI is keyboard only control, but the mouse is used for game play. It feels unnatural and very clunky to have to switch to the keys for menu control. Seriously, this is the 21st century, you have to make menu items mouse-selectable. 2. The sounds are unnecessarily softened & affected, so much so that they blend together. Some of them at least should be higher fidelity.

Other than that it's a pretty cool game, with a nice fire-works effect on the 'ole brain. When I was younger I would have enjoyed this more. It reminds me of a game I played on the Commodore 64 back in the old days called Gyrus.

Cheers!

Wow, some peculiar texure action happening. First time player. Just logged into the server. Barely started the tutorial, but couldn't stomach continuing because the ground texture (the gray bricks) were all trippy. It was as if the texture moved as I moved, only in a psychadelic way. Crazy! I'll check it again one of these days.

Hmm, the graphics are a little behind the times, which is forgivable if the game is fun. It's downloading as I type this.

The battle scene is poor, though. A combination of broken graphics and confusing action makes that part of the video less attractive. It looks like an arena, but the way the characters move around is jerky, not smooth enough. Just my two cents, of course, coming from someone who is a casual gamer and not a coder at all. Keep up the great work!

Uh, sorry I didn't get back to you right away; crazy work schedule. I'll get around to testing snapshots one of these days ... I would make a terrible developer! Sorry I haven't been much help, though.

Seriously should release games like this for Linux. I'm very surprised it isn't!

Here's a screenshot: http:[SLASH SLASH]s14.postimage.org/v2pnwss01/image.png I have a few others, if you would like, but they are essentially more of the same thing. The only creatures I have encountered that do not always show as these blobs (smaller ones) are the rats.

I am running Ubuntu 11.10 nearly stock. My graphics card is an AMD/ATI Radeon HD6770 using the stock (non-proprietary) drivers because the proprietary ones are still buggy in Ubuntu/Linux (cause random system hangs). AMD Phenom quadcore with 8GB ram.

As of March 10th or 11th, the problem did not occur; there was an update on one of these days to the game via Desura whereupon the player & NPC models suddenly became these lovely colorful blobs.

The recent update has made the player model change to a rainbow coloured blob. Yesterday playing, the player (and npc) models were as expected, as shows in the bestiary. Now, the bestiary is fine, but the models in the game are ugly (they do wiggle as per running motion, etc) except for the rats.

Wow this looks pretty spectacular! I sure hope it plays well on Ubuntu! Not only because I am an Ubuntu user, but also because there are so many Ubuntu users out there. A game that is unique and awesome like this might just help reset the bar for gaming on Linux. I'll be willing to pay for it :D
