I'm glad people still are interested in this. I voiced the main character. At the time I was quite young and only just getting my feet wet in voice acting. I've since greatly improved and am trying to find voice acting work as a job. It's definitely not easy though! It's a shame the creator abandoned this, I tried to contact them several years ago to no avail. I guess they do some let's plays on YouTube now. I guess they just aren't interested int his anymore.

This looks very promising. Can't wait to see future progress on this.

WHAT!? First Q2 2013, and now July 2013?!?!?! July is not Q2 of this year. That is going into Q3 of this year! C'mon Frictional... At least give us a small update, let us know how the progress on the game is going. Please give us just a small sliver of hope to be seeing it released soon.

There is no actual official release date. The only information released is it will arrive in Q2 2013. Whomever has control of this moddb page is most likely not an employee of Frictional Games, or thechineseroom.

Hey guys, had a quick question about an issue I have been having with all source mods. When I install a source mod, it has no problem downloading and showing up on my steam games list, but when I try to run any source mod (I have about 6 or so I have, but have been unable to play due to this problem) it attempts to validate the files for it. Then what happens is it says, steam has successfully validated all files, and right after it says unable to access steam servers at this time, and it continues to do the same thing no matter how many times I restart steam. I have been trying to resolve this issue for several months but have had no luck. I have also tried right clicking the source mod to manually validate the files, but it does not give me the option to do so. Any ideas on how I can resolve this issue?

Let's hope so... Even though we know it will be worth it, lets hope they didn't delay so long for nothing. Yaknow?

Never mind, I figured it out and beat it. Amazing story, it ended up taking me about 45 minutes to figure out the piano puzzle because several of the notes were extremely difficult to make out with the extremely obnoxious piano music already playing in the background, no offense by the way. I did enjoy the soundtrack, but there are certain points where you could place a trigger to make the piano stop, and possibly quiet the ambiance just a tad. I actually tried posting on here earlier that i got past the piano part, but I was at the peak of rage as it was from the puzzle and ended up breaking my phone by throwing it on the floor mid-post due to the fact how my phone decided to be a fat **** and continue to say I had already posted this post I am typing right now, again... So yeah, love the custom story, and you could actually do a part 2, due to the way you left the ending. If you want I can help out, I got some great ideas that could make for a part 2 if you even want to. But anyways, that is pretty much my review, and some comments mixed up. :P 10/10

Could someone please help me?! I have been stuck at the piano part for over a half hour and have made no progress whatsoever. The damn hidden door refuses to open and i have pressed every dang key in every order i possibly can. Despite listen to the tape around 15 times i cannot figure out what fahking key to press. I apologize for swearing as i usually dont tend to do so but im just so annoyed by this! Could someone tell me the order the keys need to be pressed in? Otherwise i will just kinda have to drop the custom story and never complete it. I do love the story so far and would love to finish it but the damn piano is being a bitch!!

Looks amazing, finally the Titanic gets more recognition! I hope this turns out well, and I am looking forward to the release of this custom story. Interiors look great so far, keep up the great work, cause this game looks like a fresh change from the original game!

Anyone know some mods that make the flashlight more realistic? Like flickering, ect.

For running off of the original Half-Life, this looks pretty damn amazing, graphics wise and the mapping. Great job. Tracking.

Ughh. Alright, May seems semi-reasonable to me. I really hope that the quality of this game will be like a damn crystal for how long this thing has been delayed. We have our hopes up high for thchineseroom and Frictional Games! So I hope they don't mess up, which they probably won't. Most anticipated horror/indie game of 2012-2013 guys?

Whelp... I have given up hope on this game ever having an official release date, or being released at all, as far as I can tell. So apparently the game is finished and completely done. But here is the catch, this is what jens from Frictional Games had said.

Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs reached a major milestone last week, when thechineseroom sent us their final version of the game, representing over a year's worth of hard work. But don't get too excited just yet!

Some work is still left to be done. We are testing, tweaking, optimizing, porting, translating and all those things that are part of the process of creating and releasing a game. Currently we are looking at a release around Q2 2013.

Yeah, uhm... My game crashed, right after I did what needed to be done in the chapel, and walked into the door by the large cross, and saw some "visions". And then it said loading, and it crashed. Is there a way I could resolve this?

I figured out what has to be done guys. All you have to do is reload the save where you entered the northern prison section.
1. Start the machine.
2. Place metal pot in the furnace.
3. Quickly use the crowbar on it after it melts. (I found that leaving the area and then returning causes that action to not being able to be completed, thus breaking possibilities to continue).
4. Use hammer and chipper on the melted metal, and then you are able to use it on the door.
There you go.
Oh and also, in the next area use the hammer and chipper on the pigs... You will figure out why when you get there. I am stuck on a part where there is the storage and machine, I cannot find the key to the chapel. Any help please? Thanks.

I am stuck there as well, spent 20 minutes poking at it with the shovel... Any help please. :P
