Is that realism file available as a standalone? I'd rather not retrieve a full install file for a few tweaks if it can be avoided.

Okay, thanks for that heads-up. I just started up Stalker today for the very first time since I bought it on Steam a long time ago. Just couldn't find the time for it. But I read Eurogamers (re)review and felt like having a go at it. Especially after having seen Tarkovskij's Stalker!

It is looking gorgeous. I guess I will try with Vanilla weapons first time around, but tell me. Does weapon realism mod make the game _BETTER_ to play or merely more challenging in the sense that it is harder to kill stuff? Or easier?
