There is a major balance problem with pirates. When friendly fire is off, the powder kegs doesn't hurt other pirates. Then they stick together and throw all the kegs in the melee, making them unreachable. It's particularly annoying when they do that on their spawn for protecting the booty, not taking care of anyone else than them.
Other than that, I was impressed by the quality and the finition of the mod, great job!
If you want to test the non-fixed aim, try Smod Tactical, it's a mod for Half Life 2 using a similar stuff. Ours has a bit less spread direction angle so it will even easier to use.

You're right chicky! The mod is finished, the SDK Merged but we're fighting against a major Linux Dedicated Server crash. We can't release a mod without this tool because it would imply that all the servers are not hosted on real servers but gaming computers with crappy ping and all of that.

That's great! I would plush what NOCTVRNVS said, how the **** did you make the shadows cast on the cylindrical models O_o . Looks like per-pixel self-shadowing is a feature of the new SDK but how do you use it in Hammer? Share your knowledge!
Looks cool, but the difference isn't that huge with the HL1 version, it is jusst like if the lightings were a bit improved and textures updated. You accustomed us to a more complex level design reinvention in the past time. Still, it looks great.

We don't have any Estimated Time, we don't know what could happen. We'll give a release date when we'll be sure. We already were blamed by poeple for a date that we never ever gave (February 18th 2006) so no one knows what would happen with a true release date.

It already has been redone, Perfect Dark weapon layouts are a bit random, and the original gun would just suck transposed in source engine. In-game it looks fantastically agressive and angry and no more like a hunter chevrotine. We cannot satisfy everyone and there still will people that will prefer this shotgun to others.
