Sorry but what time we'll be in France at this moment ?
Sorry but what time we'll be in France at this moment ?
It's written on the website : "So I guess it wasn't clear from the release announcement that this was intended to be a release to stir up interest in the mod, all the while still being in the development process. I'm sorry if you were mislead into thinking it was a full-blown finished product just because it said version 1.0."
Great thanks :) , I'm working on a new mod, more info in the coming months
Thanks for adding the meters.
The forums section should be put more on the left part of the upper menu ("specify in comments" ;) )
Awesome ! Please make a tutorial about this.
Did you tried to use as many entities as possible for these projects ?
I hope you'll find a coder because this look great.
What I mean is that ideas are something, modding is an other but when you're able to mix the two, nothing can stop you.
If you want to make a great mod, do something the players are waiting for or do something that nobody would have though about. Nothing to add :)
I agree but the problem is that when you are in front of the Source code (for example) and you have absolutely no knowledge in coding, your ideas just "disapearred in the air".
Yeah, you see light next to the lamps but it's great work though.
I agree but you can't find something totally neutral in history, to take Call Of Duty in example, American are always the good guys but when I see a video of gameplay killing russians during their sleep in the first mission and hear "Have a good night", you can think it's funny but something is wrong somewhere.
From what I've understand from this, for me it's every video game's goal to do things you would never get to do, but to give my opinion, I think that games shouldn't have a link with historical event, at least not recent events like Call Of Duty 4, which is a game I think should be forbidden the same way as Manhunt did but this is only my opinion.
I respect the opinion described in this article but before seeing mods called "art" , I think the games have to be called "art" before, definitely.
Mods aren't popular enough to attract people's attention as much as games(this is my opinion), but of course the only exception to this is Counter-Strike but it became commercial.
I think it could be interserting to talk about the violence in the video games (like it's written in the summary ^_^ )and more particularly the Manhunt's case.
I can't wait to put some Motion Blur and dynamic shadows in a mod O_O . It would be awesome if Black Mesa Source use this version of the engine.
Great site, Source is a great engine, nothing to add
This AppID tell on which engine and game your mod is based, here's a short list of differents AppID, but you can find the full list at the following link Developer.valvesoftware.com :
" # 212 Base Source Engine 2
# 215 Source SDK Base Temporary ID, used to mount the Episode 1 engine in mods
# 218 Source SDK Base 2007 Temporary ID, used to mount the OrangeBox engine in mods "
Does that mean you can create a mod with only HL2 in the search path (gameinfo.txt) that support HDR if you export an existing HDR skybox in it ? And Motion Blur ?
I agree totally with you but the problem is that "art" need the "code" if you want to see your mod released, even the simpliest thing like adding a texture (for HL2 for example), you need to do a little coding, but there is the tutorials :)
This group is a great idea, I'm waiting for other people's opinions ;)
If you are talking about Shuya's Weapon, I plan to do it. Actually, I'm modeling the Walther PPK.
I though I would never find it, thanks for the upload :)
