The design was indeed inspired by jumping spiders - the giant front eyes, cute frown and what looks like crazy eyebrows. Amazingly cute tiny creatures.
Thank you for the lovely comments and @Hakumen mad fans are what FoM is all about. :)
News article about the Crabler design and what the hell is going on in this image is waiting authorization, so stay tuned and make sure to track us/follow us/share our stuff!
Happy Holidays from Gnart and friends! :D
Thanks! We really appreciate the encouragement. :) We will have lots of new exciting stuff to show you guys next year and we'll eventually release some more information about the story and setting. Please spread the word of FoM!
I truly appreciate your excitement and thanks for your vote!
Thanks for the comment. I believe the posts awaiting authorisation are published first so they get bumped from the first page really easily, so not exactly convenient for European developers.
Appreciate the praise. Hopefully we'll find a way to get the fur right; something similar to the fur in Shadow of the Colossus would be neat.
Glad you read the article! Spread the word if you can. :) Getting some followers and supporters early on is a great motivation and will definitely improve the chances of this project realized. :)
Glad you like the design! This is probably the most important character in the game as he functions as the player character's world guide and companion (he follows you around everywhere). He's incredibly loyal and honest, but will offer a lot of witty commentary and hints. The character was designed to have a cute fluffy look, but still have real personality with depth and charisma.
