This engine needs two things: lightmapping on terrain and use of sprites in the way the engine of Operation Flashpoitn: Dragon Rising does.

It will keep growing as fast as I can get. Perhaps before summer I can get it finished... Chapter 3 will need a huge amount of work because I will try to innovate in a way that the Source engine is not prepared for and I'm still seeing how to implement it. Step by step, step by step,...

Don't worry it's a common mistake, the verb to be means two different verbs in spanish: ser y estar.
