This is an excellent game -- if you liked Gratuitious Space Battles, you'll love this. At this price, it's unbeatable. Very challenging, but tons of fun. I'm hooked!

Really cool game that combines other genres successfully: a "character" that levels and has a persistent inventory across all missions combined with an RTS-style base building mechanic. The graphics are superb for an indie, if unoriginal and uninspired. The music is standard-faire sci-fi electro. Basically, the surface elements of the game are re-hashes, like almost all games, but the core of the game is brilliant. Star Prospector is well worth playing if RPG+RTS sounds like your thing.

Game could really use one feature: we definitely need time-scale buttons like in most tower defense games. The speed of most units is ponderously slow (though I've only unlocked the cheapest 3 or 4 units), and in the thick of battles I always feel rushed (for some this is a positive thing). I'd enjoy this game even more if it had .5x, 1x, 1.5x, and 2x game speed options in the game UI.
