I'm a solo game developer inspired by 90's console games and horror related media. My main focus is on game design and programming. My artistic skills are lacking but I usually get the job done. The types of games I design and enjoy are classic platformers, RPG's, FPS's and horror games.

Is this mod a troll? 60 zombies in a single hallway seems a bit much... I just get infinitely stunlocked and chewed up without any chance to fight back. Making everything move faster just looks and feels weird. Also you can stunlock dogs with the knife even more easily than in the original game.

Easy mode doesn't seem to change anything other than giving the player a bunch of first aids which are completely useless. Also I died during the animation of opening the manhole by an army of lickers. Complete RNG trying to get through there without setting any of them off.

Hmm I gave it another try. Couldn't progress. After using the Spade key and going to the Main Hall, there's simply nowhere else to go. I assume the safe has either one of the 3 other keys, or the keycard for the computer. Given how in the beginning Marvin says he doesn't know the safe code and so it doesn't let you attempt to input a code. But now it let's me input a code, implying that the player has come across the code, but I have not seen any evidence of this. I ran through every room several times, checked everything, mashed the A button on all surfaces and obstacles, nothing...

I was gonna take a peak inside the 7z to see if there was a password.xml but 7zip says "file is not an archive" yet Rebirth has no problem opening it? Pretty strange. I wonder if the download is corrupted. I tried downloading it twice and same issue.

Edit: watched a video of a full playthrough. The computer apparently tells the player the passcode, but it doesn't do that for me, just asks for the keycard (even though seemingly no doors are locked via the computer) so something must be wrong with the download. Also tried the passcode that I saw in the video and it didn't work. Tried the vanilla passcode for the safe, that doesn't work either. -_-

Edit2: Figured it out. I didn't realize you were using had a patched exe. I was running the normal 1.10 exe. My fault on that one.

A bit of an issue I encountered: If you don't read the files you come across, they don't get added to the "Files" tab in the menu. I assume the password for the safe was in a file that I skipped - assuming it wasn't a new file, so the player cannot progress without restarting the game.

I only got about 30 minutes into this game, seems pretty awesome. Unfortunately it crashes like crazy. After having to do the same intro area over and over again I just gave up. Compatibility mode only solves some issues but the hacked exe just loves to crash.

I would like to see this ported to Classic Rebirth, as that's actually fairly stable.

Any chance of a version of this mod that doesn't change the graphics? I prefer the vanilla graphics and sounds. Also one of the backgrounds in the east hall 2F doesn't render for some reason, causing the previous background to be displayed or sometimes it's entirely black.

I'd imagine that removing certain files could achieve this but which files to remove are a mystery to me.

This looks fantastic! Unfortunately I really don't like the default controls and the physics. It doesn't feel like DKC, the jumping is all wrong and I couldn't quite figure out how running works. Shift seems to just jitter DK around awkwardly and holding roll doesn't run either. I also disliked the remixes, they didn't do the original soundtrack justice at all.

That being said, I don't think this is a bad game but it definitely needs a bit more polishing. Regardless, what is here is already looking pretty cool, it's just got some rough edges that need to be worked out before it can really be a good tribute to the legendary Donkey Kong Country series.

I didn't like this much. It made me feel nauseous, I could barely tell where I was most of the time. The game isn't too pleasing on the eyes or ears either. Not a bad concept but didn't feel right to me.

I tried the prototype and it froze my browser. Using Firefox 33.1 on Windows 7 x64. Honestly this doesn't sound like the most enticing idea ever but I like to give things a try before I judge. Too bad I couldn't.

Thanks, it's still an early build so a lot is going to change over time. The Freedoom assets (enemies and weapons) are only temporary. I'm either going to draw the graphics myself or get an artist to do it but hopefully in the long run, the graphics will be more consistence. As for the skybox, that is definitely temporary, not sure what to do with it yet, whether I should look for one that fits or try to make one on my own. Eventually I think I'm going to put scrolling skies along with a skybox, try and get the scene to animate a little.

local co-op usually means playing on the same Pc. usually splitscreen or shared screen. games that play through connected Pc's are technically online but thats refered to LAN play since you dont need an internet connection but it still relies on the host/client based programming.

I want more local co-op on PC. it's a damn shame that it's incredibly rare so i'm not sure why you are shouting for online co-op since that is the prevailing feature for co-op PC games right now.

Yeah. The only way I think i can get this to work is to overwrite the base folder with the mod, but i don't like doing that as i can't turn off a mod that way so if this mod requires that than i won't be using it.

I could never get this to work with the expansion. i think i may have gotten it to run once and i can't remember how but ever since than it's always crashed on start up. Works fine on the main Doom3 but not on Ressurection of Evil.

Can't play at all. Just crashes on the initail loading screen when the music starts playing and it says "Intializing Menus".

This is looking pretty good. graphics are well made, atmosphere is Hexen and level design is professional as well. Great work on this so far. My only complaints are the easy enemies and the weird looking skins for the Two-headed enemies. Also locked doors are everywhere and many of these don't give a message, it becomes hard to figure out the locked doors from the doors that are never opened.

Okay i figured it out after seeing some other posts on the web. However results were... disappointing. My overall review: not worth it. It seems to replace only a handful of textures, and looks stupid when you have normal textures next to the hi-res ones. it just makes the games graphics less consistent.

My philosophy on Re-Texture projects is that if you can't do the whole thing, don't do it at all.

there are no directions or instructions that come with the download. so... what the hell do i do with this? I tried placing it in the \base directory in Doom 3, but it doesn't seem to do anything but screw up the display on the monitor in the beginning intro. I see nothing different about the textures.

Instructions would be nice.

Reading the comments, i'm wondering how many people have actually gotten this to work.

I can't get it to work. When i start the game, the textures are completely screwed. it looks as if somebody chewed on them and puked them back out. I can't describe what i'm seeing but it's completely unplayable. I can barely see anything.

I was stupid enough to think it was my graphics card seeing as many people are blaming ATI cards for this, but i blame the mod. I have never ever had a problem with my card on any of the 60+ PC games i have, as well as many mods. This is the mod's fault. Further more my CC AI has always been disabled but it turning it on/off makes no difference. this mod just refuses to produce acceptable results.

Actually never mind, the game crashes less if i turn on Windowed-mode with all graphical settings on lowest. I have a great gfx card so i'm not sure why just this game has a problem but whatever. Looks like **** now.

Also i rage quit at the room with the spinning axes and dolls that keep spawning infinitely. i shot all the tall monster things and they just keep coming. f***ing stupid that these little dolls with no sharp objects or anything are capable of killing me so easily. it's annoying as s***.

atmosphere was nice and i enjoyed walking around but the combat sucks really bad. no dodging or running or anything. you just die. also hardly any heals in this game. i quit.

This game keeps crashing on me every 15 mins. Freezes the whole computer, i have to restart. Anyone else have this problem? know a solution? shoot me a PM if you can.
