I suck at troubleshooting but make sure your amnesia is fully updated.

Are you on the second day? Did you get the journal from the desk already? Make sure you're on the latest patch. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what's wrong.

Should be in the cabinet across from the door. If they're not there, seems you got a bug or something. Make sure your amnesia is up to date and restart the custom story (since that level is near the beginning it shouldn't be difficult.)

Thank you. I wanted it to be a powerful moment. I even commissioned a custom object that I placed in the room (above the chair) to imply Vincent had a different course planned before deciding to track down the plant.

Click on the fireplace in the oven. You'll get a message telling you there should be some matches in the storage room.

The day ends after you find all the pages. As Michael said after you picked up the journal, a list of page locations has been added to your notes. Just open your notes and it should be there.

I'm done with Amnesia but I do have ideas for a sequel. I'm taking a break from game development then I'll look into maybe learning a new engine like Cryengine or Unity.

Any particular error message when it crashes? Also, if it's after the nightmare level (the one that starts with the hallway tilting) then that's the last level anyway. All that happens after that level is the closing credits.

Check out my reply to HumiliatoR. The maps are in the Diaries section of your notes (I have to put it there in order to make them work) look through them and figure out which rooms go to which on the map and see if something doesn't add up.

Check the blueprints. (they'll be in the Diaries section) Line each room on the blueprints up with what room that is in the house, you may find something doesn't match up....

It's pretty much done. Now I'm just messing around with a few bonus rooms and taking some times to let the game fester in my brain so I can maybe come up with a few more ideas.

Some crap came up about a week after my last news post and I haven't had a chance to work more on it. I'll make a news post about it soon but basically I pinched a nerve in my back and can't sit up straight to work on anything on the PC for more than 10 minutes. However I'm better now and back to work on it. The main game is finished 100% now I'm just cleaning a few things up (Grammar in the dialogue and messing around in various rooms seeing if it's possible to break the game in any way) so here's hoping for a release by the end of the month or so.

There should be a link on this page. Alternatively, you could try downloading Desura and finding the custom story there and let it download automatically.

There is a help.txt file in the custom story folder with solutions. Make sure you grab the Piece of Mind once you've done everything.

Doesn't work how? Like it won't download? Try getting it through Desura maybe?

I hope I do not disappoint. This project isn't nearly as large as the original.

Yes and no. I had to take a break from working on it over december and most of January, but I'm still working on it. I'm about 70% done with the core game, then I have to go over it and clean up the details then work on getting voice actors.

I don't like to take credit for that, I know he would've probably come up with it the next time he saw a small box if he hadn't played mine. But I definitely plan to pay tribute to it in my next CS.

Hey, CatBearGaming here, for some reason youtube won't let me reply to your comment so I'll just put it here. We enjoyed your CS and it was a perfect intro for a first time Amnesia player like Anna. I'll keep an eye out for your next one. Feel free to check out my old CS A Late Night Drink if you want.

I was under a time crunch to finish up the CS so the ending wasn't on par with what I wanted to do. I included a help file in the download with solutions to the puzzles, but I'll try in the future to make things easier throughout.

You should play The Great Work, White Night, Obscurity, Coward's Debt and Destiny Rebellion. All better than mine. But thank you nonetheless.

Hi, I'm already working on a sequel in this engine. But if I make a sequel to that sequel it might be a new engine. If I make something on a non-Frictional engine it will be a new game with a new story and whatnot.

Just keep working at it. Just take your time and learn bits whenever you can. Eventually you'll find you can write 20 lines of code just as easily as you wrote that post.

Your comment is very touching. I am working on a sequel of sorts (it will be smaller in scale to this one, and will bridge the storyline between this one and the one I make in the future) and there is a trailer up on my youtube channel. Youtube.com

My apologies. You were pretty much at the end of the game though. Just look up the rest on youtube. Alternatively you can edit the custom story settings config file and change the starting map from Test2.map to Pieces 6.map and change the starting pos to DoorRoomStart then restart the custom story. That should theoretically allow you to start in that level.
