Easily the most entertaining mod this year.
I haven't had this much fun since Portal.
Congrats, fellas.

I always used FileFront links if I was downloading something. None of that ******** INSERT THE LETTERS IN THIS IMAGE / YOU HAVE HIT YOUR DOWNLOAD LIMIT / WE CLAMP YOUR SPEEDS LOL crap.
Goddamn.
I'm definitely giving it a go.
What if the mod is based off of a first-person-shooter (the infamous Source engine. What isn't these days?) but it takes it in a direction other than "shoot, shoot, kill, kill"?
Should we be steering away from FPS games as a whole, or are we just looking for something outside of stuff like Zombie Panic or the Hidden?
This really kind of helped me get a perspective on my whole project. I'll definitely be restructuring a bit after this. We really have to get off our *****...
There's actually a good explanation for this. Most of the team met on a TacoScript (Better than DarkRP >:V) RP site, and most of us have been RPing for several years, so...
:V
This is a shining example of what gaming could become. This is a brilliant and moving piece of work. Chilling, tense, and artistic, all in one. This is absolutely amazing.
The thing is that EVERYONE knows how to mod for source. It's damn easy. Any 15 year old with enough spare time can learn to use the Source engine to make whatever he wants. Engines like Unreal and the like are harder to learn and aren't as well supported.
The reason there are so many HL and HL2 mods is because there ARE that many HL and HL2 mods, simply because it's so easy to mod.
This looks like a delightfully wacky concept. I'm definitely watching this.
Grats guys. This looks epic.
Gaming can be fun, but you're always going through the possibilities of what you can add or what would be better in your mind (or at least, I am). I think it's much more fun to challenge myself to bring these possibilities to life.
I don't know what it is about this game, but ever since I found it my big-budget RPGs (like Oblivion/Morrowind and Dark Messiah) have been gathering dust in the corner. Please keep updating this.
Thanks for the catch. I'm drowning in homework, so I kind of threw this together on a moment's notice.
On the topic of music, the way I see it, the right music at the right time can touch of emotions in a way that we can't do any other way. Gareth is a brilliant composer, and I trust he'll be able to produce some great stuff for us to work with. Since Fabulae Occupationis is going to be story-driven, rather than combat driven, we need to connect with the player as much as possible. Music is just one of the many tools we have to accomplish this.
Thanks for the advice. It's a Work In Progress, so I'll sure that tidbit over to Cleedy right away.
Yikes! Thanks for the catch. I'm only going off half a semester or so of Latin, so a lot of the declensions and conjugations are still an enigma to me. I appreciate the correction!
Yes, we do. It's tough working with the stock HL2 textures on something like this...
