I played this game until the very end and I can safely say that this is an amazing 2D Sonic Game not just fan game. I'm not that good at 2D Sonic games, so it took me some time to finish this game, but I'm actually glad that it took me a long time because I got to enjoy this game for a longer period of time :D . If you see this message than give this game a shot.
