For anyone reading, no the mod is not dead.

We don't stick to deadlines because many of us are busy with our private lives and we work on the project whenever we're able to, but rest assured progress is being made.

We were working on an article not too long ago but we decided to postpone in the vein of releasing something more meaningful.

Extended is alive!

Dude, don't ever use the default studiomdl.exe that comes with the Half - Life SDK nor the decompiler. They are pretty bad.

Go to Steam and download the Sven Co-Op studiomdl and then for decompiling use Crowbar.

For model viewing, use Half - Life: Asset Manager.

All of these are the most up-to date HL1 modelling tools.

It won't only contain the Hazard Course, it's gonna have the same amount of chapters as HL Day One.

We like the pixelated look, there's no need for upscaling. Whoever wants to play the game filtered is free to do so.

And for sure! Optimization is very high priority for us.

We've had some setbacks here and there due to real life situations and whatnot. Last week we entered our playtest for the first 5 chapters of the game with great results.

While I can't say an exact date for a demo release, we're hoping it to be near the end of the month, but we don't promise anything.

Some stashes are really hard to get, that's def true. Like physically interacting with the chest or storage.

Sorry but it's very old and outdated. Hopefully when the new release happens, it'll work properly.

It's mostly because we're taking our time polishing up the areas we want to release in the demo.

Hazard Course will be bundled with the Day One demo, so don't worry.

We appreciate your patience! We're looking to deliver the best experience we can, so that's why we are taking a long time.

Due to the length and nature of our work, we don't expect to do either of these at any time. It's too time consuming.
But anyone's free to try when we release our assets.

My guess is just leftover/old code not working properly.
Disregard the SDK entirely, it's extremely outdated.

We only do them when we find them necessary to showcase anything we find particularly interesting.

As of now we're mostly working on maps and such, so not much can be shown that wouldn't spoiler a bit of the demo.

We might upload some images to the media tab though.

I believe it's something possible.

CS 1.6 does have this as an option after all and it simply flips the viewmodel, so the same could be done.

No tenemos una fecha exacta, los sacamos cuando tenemos necesidad de mostrar muchas cosas.

Probablemente saquemos uno cuando estemos cerca de la demo.

We understand your eagerness and excitement for the release of our mod. While we appreciate your enthusiasm, we would like to explain why we cannot release the mod whenever we want and why it takes time to complete its development.

Developing a mod for a game like Half-Life 1 is a complex and meticulous process. It involves creating and refining various elements, such as level design, gameplay mechanics, art assets, and more. Each of these components requires careful planning, attention to detail, and a significant amount of time and effort from our dedicated team members.

Furthermore, we want to ensure that the mod we release meets the high standards we have set for ourselves. We aim to deliver a polished and enjoyable experience for players, and this requires thorough testing, bug fixing, and optimization. By taking the necessary time during the development phase, we can address any issues and deliver a mod that lives up to our expectations and those of our community.

In addition to the development process itself, it's important to consider the constraints and commitments of our team members. We may have limited resources, such as time and availability, as many of us are working on this project voluntarily or alongside other responsibilities. Juggling these obligations can make it challenging to allocate as much time as we would like to the mod's development.

We believe in transparent communication with our community, which is why we provide updates and progress reports along the way whenever we are able to. These updates allow you to stay informed about our work and offer insight into the effort required to complete the mod successfully. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding as we continue to work diligently to bring this project to fruition.

Remember that the quality of the mod and the satisfaction of our players are our top priorities. Rushing the release could compromise these goals and lead to a subpar experience. We want to ensure that when the mod is finally released, it exceeds your expectations and provides a memorable and enjoyable gaming experience.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Sincerely,

Extended Studios
